Tiago's place was the perfect antidote to a couple of days in beautiful and busy Lisbon. If you're looking for peace, then this is the place for sure. All we could hear throughout the days and nights was the wind in the trees, and birds. And speaking of which, this part of Portugal is famous for its storks - who you'll find nesting in abundance around the area. Amazing. There's a hammock to read or sleep in, as well as various places to hang out in the extensive garden. Perfect for chilling! The house has everything you need, and when we entered the kitchen, we found red wine, beers, fruit, and cheese; all for us. I can't recommend this place highly enough. And when you venture out south to the beautiful countryside of Comporta, you'll find deserted beaches (at least when were there in early May - off season) as far as the eye can see. We will be coming back.. maybe every year!

Spacious villa with a private pool in a quiet, green setting. The house is well-equipped and offers a lot of privacy, with a beautiful outdoor area and even some horses nearby. You can occasionally hear a train pass by, but it’s not too disruptive. Comfortable bed and a great place to relax, just a bit outside the city. Can recommend!

The environment is very beautiful, the calm, 360 degrees on the countryside a total change of scenery with birdsong, we were very very well received, Joao and Anabel are very kind and good tips for visits and restaurants. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

Spacious house for a group of 12 adults. The outside is fantastic and we could bring dogs was great. We were welcomed with a welcome basket.

Amazing stay in Comporta. The apartment is great and had everything we needed. Linda was such a lovely host and brought us books and toys for our 1.5 year old. Beautiful secluded location. Easy drive into Comporta and access to a stunning private beach. Wish we could have stayed longer - thanks Linda.

It was one of the best stays I've had, we plan to return. We were a group of 8 couples and two children, we had a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Susana's house has everything you need, and we didn't even know we needed, for a spectacular stay. One of the details we valued a lot was the availability of glasses/wine glasses for the pool/outdoor area. The property was super clean and has shaded parking. The house has pool towels and the kitchen is fully equipped. Susana has prepared a list of recommendations for restaurants, beaches, chefs who come to the house... Spectacular attention, thank you! The one who received us was Mrs. Sónia, who is a sweetheart, to whom I thank very much for her sympathy and attention. We plan to return and I highly recommend Susana's house! What a wonderful experience! Vitor and Helena have created such a beautiful, stylish, and comfortable escape in such a gorgeous part of the world. I was a little concerned about staying in a basement of a house, but their reviews were so positive that I decided to take the leap, and I'm so glad we did! Everything was perfect. Vitor and Helena were so attentive while giving us complete privacy. The accommodations were tastefully designed and very well appointed. Everything was top notch. We had the entire backyard and pool area to ourselves, and the views were incredible. They had four bikes for us to use freely. It was also a 5 minute bike ride to a gorgeous beach, and we had access to a more secluded beach via a beautiful bike ride through the rice fields. I cannot recommend this place enough. We are a family of four...my husband, two sons (21 and 18), and I loved our time here and hope to eventually return. I could go on and on. Many thanks to Vitor and Helena!

As indicated in the description, if you are looking for a quiet place to rest and enjoy the countryside it's your place. We will definitely repeat in summer with better weather.

Great house! Beautiful surroundings and lovely interior inside with well equipt kitchen. Great to have the house cleaned everyday. Very helpful recommendations too. Great communication from owner and housekeeper. Would love to come back.

Price was unmatched in the greater area and facilities were just as described. Sheet were great and the outdoor area/landscape of the bnb exude a tranquil peaceful feeling in the morning. Miguel is an interesting and kind gentleman.

Maria’s house was perfect for our holiday. 15 mins into Grândola in one direction, 15 minutes to the beautiful beaches of the Atentejo coast in the other, surrounded by the forest of cork oaks and stone pines it was idyllic. Maria is a wonderful host, super-friendly and helpful. The house and pool offer an idyllic retreat!

Our stay at Casa das Hortas was just fantastic, Maria, the host , has put a lot of care to create a very confortable retreat where you can find all you might need. The house is very nice and cozy and has everything you may need for your stay Besides that, Maria welcomed us with a fantastic basket full of local products and form the home orchard that were just delicious. The house is placed in a very nice private property where you can walk around freely and has plenty of things to do. Unfortunately, we were not very lucky with the weather and we had some rainy days, but that gave us the chance to use the fantastic chimney to create a cozy atmosphere. Alcalcer do Sal and nearby Comporta offer good day trips and restaurants We hope to come back again !
