a taste of the history of the Alcamo doc

Alcamo is a city of wine, is located in the province of Trapani and about 45 km from Palermo, and is also in the center of the magnificent Gulf of Castellammare del Golfo. Taking part in our Wine Tours or Cooking Classes will allow our guests to live a direct experience in our family farm already in the 3rd generation. Walking through the organic rows, they will participate in the agronomic activities of the period thanks to the experience of Vincenzo Agronomo and owner of the company. Immediately afterwards they will take a dip in a piece of authentic and ancient Sicily, where the past and history are strongly present: inside the Baglio Florio, a wine establishment of 1875, of our family since 1831, today used by us as a frame for tasting of our wines and different local specialties. The tasting includes the tasting of 5 wines and about 8 dishes prepared at home by Liliana, Vincenzo's wife, according to the traditions of our family. Alternatively we can prepare typical dishes together by learning the old culinary traditions of our land, 4 dishes such as Arancine, Caponata, Fresh Pasta, etc. using only our seasonal products. We will live the stories and anecdotes related to the origin of each dish cooked together, experiencing the joy of sharing traditions and affections, without barriers, around a table! Other things to note for the visit it is advisable to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, perhaps a hat and sun protection that protects from the sun during the walk in the countryside.
