Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Alentejo

Que estadia maravilhosa! Nada previa ficar alojada nesta casa incrível, mas em cima da hora e sendo o único espaço disponível, a Cruz aceitou a nossa reserva e foi super atenciosa em tudo. Tudo se alinhou para que me cruzasse com esta casa linda à beira-mar, num sítio calmo e perto de tudo a pé. Fui em família e ficamos maravilhados com tudo, desde a localização à decoração e ainda à generosidade da dona Maria José, que foi quem nos recebeu e entregou a chave da “nossa casa” por 4 dias. Voltarei, certamente. Muito obrigada à Cruz e à Maria José pela hospitalidade e generosidade

Casa agradável situada numa vila tranquila com vistas lindas. Gostamos muito do tempo que passámos aí. Perfeito para uma escapadinha de fim de semana! Se tiver que apontar algo diria que o sofá era um pouco desconfortável e a o duche deitava muita água para fora sempre que era usado. A wc ficava alagada.

Wir waren eine Woche in Sophies Unterkunft und es war super nett und entspannend! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Was man wissen sollte, die Wohnung liegt ein paar Meter oberhalb der Straße, man sollte also fit genug für den Weg sein. Wir haben es mit Koffern problemlos geschafft. Das Bad ist sehr klein, aber alles machbar. Die Küche war wirklich super ausgestattet. Restaurants und Lebensmittel sind fußläufig erreichbar, Sophie stand uns immer als Ansprechpartner zur Verfügung!

This is a lovely place to explore Sintra and the national park. You're really close to the beaches and the forests, with the best view of a small village. Check in was easy and we received really clear instructions on how to find the building. The cottage is gorgeous and well stocked, we had a comfortable stay.

Das Haus und das Anwesen sind einfach ein Traum. Der Pool. Die Terrasse. Der Sonnenuntergang. Das gute Olivenöl. Castello de Vide. Für uns stimmt hier einfach alles. Und alles ist genau so wundervoll wie auf den Bildern. Wir kommen wieder! Danke liebe Susannne ///

Duarte was a communicative, responsive and helpful host - we really appreciated this as there's only so much you can research online. The location of Casa da Encosta is magical, the fact you can't park outside makes it all the more special with no immediate road noise. The small terraced garden which surrounds the house is totally charming, offering plenty of little places to separate yourself from others should you wish and read a book or enjoy the view. Fixtures and fittings are of a high standard and the renovation executed thoughtfully. The feeling of being inside a jewelled box comes to mind. Yet it feels like someone's home and you feel welcome in it. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a remarkable region of Portugal. Thank you.

O espaço correspondeu 100% às nossas expectativas! Bonito, limpo, sossegado e com uma piscina e espaço exterior incrível. É o local ideal para descansar e o facto de ser pet-friendly é um grande plus. De realçar a simpatia da host. Pretendemos voltar em breve! :)

Emplacement pour se reposer, a l'écart de tous les bruits, en bordure de rivière, idéal pour renouer avec la nature avec plein de petits animaux aux alentours. Quelques rafraîchissements a prévoir (contours piscine, transats) mais rien de grave. A noter une douche en semi-exterieur inédite, surprenante et vraiment géniale !! Merci pour ce séjour

This is a hidden gem nestled in a vineyard with a nice vegetable and fruit garden. Beautiful mild scented roses lined the entrance way to our villa. There was a large beautiful pool and our place was very clean. If you want a quiet relaxing time away from noise, light and air pollution this is the place to unwind. We did many day trips to the neighbouring towns and was always happy to be back here. Margarida and her husband, Joaquim, were gracious hosts who allowed us to pick fruits and vegetables from their farm. We enjoyed two bottles of wine (red and white wine) from their own vineyard which was very nice. Great view! Rustic and so close to nature. Great for guests who want a retreat for contemplation and to have a fun time with their families.

Our stay was wonderful! After a long week of traveling it was a great place to settle down with gorgeous views and everything you need within walking distance. There were multiple options for beaches whether we wanted more quiet versus more public with food/drinks available. Grilling on the rooftop made for beautiful family dinners with a cool grill and amazing views. Laura was very helpful with showing us around, providing recommendations, and even letting us back into the home when we locked ourselves out! Easy drive (30-45 mins) to Lagos or Faro for day trips. Overall definitely recommend!

True hidden gem in Alentejo, with an amazing view. Perfect for a group of friends or a big family!

This is a magical place and we are very thankfull that we could make it our home for a long weekend. It was beautiful from the inside and the outside. With cosy corners to sit and read by yourself, or nice bigger tables to eat or chat with the whole group together. The pool, the view, it is even more breath taking then on the pictures. We really had the most amazing time with our group of friends! Thank you Sergio!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, not near touristy areas. Very peaceful and quiet but still nearby to places to visit. It was spotless throughout and exactly as described. Every amenity you could possibly need and the host was very helpful and quick to reply with any questions I had. 100% would recommend staying here and would love to visit again in the Future.

This was the best house on the water we've ever stayed in. Everything was spotless, and the hosts were incredibly responsive—any request was taken care of immediately. The view from the boat was absolutely breathtaking. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone ☺️

l'appartement de Joana est tout simplement très beau, avec son petit jardin très agréable après une journée de visite, l'endroit est calme même si resto et fado dans la rue plus bas. nous avons dormi fenêtre ouverte. nous n'avons pas vu Joana, mais nous avons échangé avec plaisir pour savoir si tout allait bien , l'appartement est très bien situé à 5 mn du métro ou bus et dans le beau quartier historique. nous avons passé un super séjour, et je recommande vivement Joana. This tiny home is the perfect mix of remote and romantic. The view is stunning, and the location is close by wonderful towns and beaches, like Azoia, Sesimbra, and Praia do Penedo. We enjoyed relaxing on the property and cooking meals from home, while having close proximity to other activities further inland like horseback riding on beach cliffs with Lits Horses and cave kayaking the Sesimbra coast with Our Roots. It was the perfect stay!

The place is very cute and the beach and how open and undeveloped the beach was is unlike anywhere else. We did three days of surf lessons from Caeser who is literally 100ft from the house down the beach and there is surfing right out your front door with board and wetsuit rentals.. The town itself is a little bleak and there wasn't much to do and we found if the weather was bad restaurants close very early (like 6pm) so just make sure to find out times if you are planning on eating out for dinner. Our family of four was in love (2 boys ages 7 and 10) but my in laws came too who are in their early 80s. I clearly wasn't thinking bc the walk to the house is through the sand and hard to navigate, my mother in law also couldn't get over the sand dune to go to the beach, and the stairs in the house are more like a ladder. so it's wonderful for able bodies but if you have someone with special needs it may not be suitable. but otherwise if you love surfing, beautiful sunsets book it!

Authentic and beautiful place with an amazing view from the backyard. Monsaraz is one of the nicest villages in the neighborhood. All recommendations for both the location and accommodation.

Amazing stay in Chiado. Great location to explore with amazing advice provided by Alvaro. On arrival we were welcomed with wine a Pastel de Nata. Lovely touch!

Our stay at Nowhere was absolutely perfect. While we had every intention of exploring the region during our stay, we felt so at home and relaxed at the property that we hardly left. The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful that we wanted to make the most of our time there. This was one of the nicest Airbnbs we have ever stayed in. The property came equipped with everything we could need and more. We will definitely be back to explore the region. Thank you Stacey and Silas!
