Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Algonquin

What a find! We were attending a wedding on the Potomac and found this gem of a place basically right next door. A perfectly appointed home in a peaceful, tranquil, beautiful setting. Connie was great! Responsive to our need to find the iron, not exactly an emergency, Connie responded immediately with it's location. Loved it!

My mom, sisters, friends and I enjoyed a relaxing fun filled time at the Coastal Oasis at the Chesapeake for our Mother's Day Retreat. The view is amazing and truly can be seen from every room in the house! Being able to see the beauty and calmness of the water helped each of us kick back and let the stress melt away. The big dinning room table allowed all of us all to enjoy breakfasts, dinners and touching conversations together. My guests loved the décor and raved about every detail. The beds and furniture were comfortable and house clean. I would definitely come back!

This was our second time staying at Kimberly’s home, and it was just as magical as we remembered. The views of the water are absolutely stunning—whether you’re enjoying your morning coffee or winding down in the evening, it’s hard to look away. The location is perfect: peaceful but just a short walk to shops and restaurants. We also really appreciated the Peloton and treadmill—such a bonus for staying active during our trip. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully prepared. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Just a wonderful location. Very private and the property is beautiful. The house was well-equipped; it included a couple of kayaks that we used on the Choptank River, where we saw ospreys, eagles, and even a beaver. The beds were comfortable and the decor and other items in the house were very interesting. We likely will be back some time.

We had a great weekend at this cottage. Comfortable layout, great dock, and a beautiful view. We hope to return.

This home is just as advertised...it is very large, great for several families vacationing together! Our group was small so we didn't even make use of all of the space. The house is right on Tanner Creek which is just beautiful for sitting on the dock and relaxing, paddleboarding and kayaking, birdwatching, etc. It's also about a mile from Lookout Point State Park which is absolutely gorgeous. Restaurants and grocery stores are few and far between in this area, so it's a good idea to bring your own food, and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. If you are looking for a place to relax in a calm and beautiful setting, this is it!

Glenn lives close and was very helpful with all of our questions. He's very knowledgeable of the area and has a lot of good suggestions on places to go and things to do.

This is a great place to stay and tour the DC Metro area - provided you have a car. Most days it would take us 30 minutes to get to and from DC though if we hit rush-hour, it was as long as an hour. The space is tidy and great. My kids love the pool, though it was a little cold for me-they swam there every night. Jennifer is great to communicate if you have any needs she gets stuff done right away. Note that there is only one bathroom, which can be a pain if you have a full house of six people. The washer and dryer are small so it will take you longer if you’re used to a full size. She had all the cooking methods and appliances available. The theater room has Netflix and Amazon prime ready for you to watch a show. There is even a popcorn maker. We did not use the gym, but it was nice - comparable to a small hotel gym. Property is in the owner’s basement, so there is some sound from upstairs as identified in the listing. Host stays out of your way but is there if you need anything.

We had a lovely weekend in Annapolis. The stay is a large wing of a main house, completely private and lovely. It’s in a lovely neighborhood, quiet and wooded and an easy, short drive to downtown Annapolis with easy access to the road to Baltimore. Helen is an attentive and communicative host who respected our privacy.

I cannot say enough about Paul! Proactive, great recommendations and an all-around fantastic fellow! My children, two dogs, and I had a wonderful time and would come back in a heartbeat! The place itself is immaculate and has a gorgeous view of the Chesapeake Bay. Minutes from the Naval Academy and an easy ride to the Greenbelt metro so we could catch a DC United game in the city.

AMAZING location! We loved being able to park the car and walk to the shops, brewery, winery, restaurants, farmers market and more! The place was peaceful which helped since we had a baby with us. We would definitely rent again if we were to go back!

We had a wonderful stay at Shawn's place. It is located in an absolutely beautiful area with a gorgeous view of the water. The place was beautifully decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of places to relax outside with a view of the water. We enjoyed taking the kayaks out and watching the sunset each night. Shawn was a lovely host and is a genuine person who wants you to have the best stay!

We loved staying here! Leonardtown is such a nice community to explore and Haley’s place was in the heart of the good energy. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed to relax.

I loved this house!!! I wish the weather cooperated because the outside sitting areas was calling my name. The house was beautifully decorated it had all the necessary items I needed to be a home away from home. She even said I could have guest if I wanted that is a rarity. I hope the next time I visit this home will be available it was perfect.

What can I say about my stay at Villa de Bowie?! It was great! My room, let alone the whole house, was remarkable. DiMitri has been extremely hospitable and responsive. The house was clean, welcoming, and offered many amenities. The atmosphere was beautiful and the other guests, from a host of different backgrounds/careers, were respectful and pleasant. Mitri, is one of the best Airbnb host I’ve met. He made sure myself and son were comfortable from day one all the way until the end of my stay. I felt like he was apart of my family because of the kindness and generosity he displayed. He goes above and beyond to make sure you have a good stay. He cares about your safety, your comfort level, and if you have food to eat. I would definitely recommend this Airbnb, and I will definitely be staying again.

Dimitri is a great host and this house was a great place to live. He was on the property frequently replacing various amenities the house may have needed, along with cutting the yard weekly as well in the summer. Dimitri was always available if any problems arose, and was an understanding host for any situation someone could have. You couldn't ask for a better host really, happy I spent the summer at this house.
