Eye of the Dune - Earth house with private beach

This was a perfect spot for some peace and quiet. The beautiful beach was only a few minutes' walk away and we mostly had it to ourselves. Where the house itself is located is very protected, so even when the wind was gusty on the beach it was perfectly fine to sit outside on the deck. It's only 20 minutes in the car to Portland for dinner/groceries/coffee too.

Thank you Roxanne for hosting us at your place - it was exactly what we needed. Tucked away at the end of a no through road, we appreciated the peaceful surroundings for quiet contemplation, wildlife spotting and restful sleep. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering.

Dean was great. Answering the phone everytime I called him. Before and during the weekend. The place is PERFECT for groups or some families getting together. Clean. Tidy. Big. Organised. Everything. Its THE place. I will repeat many many times. It has everything you need at an amazing place. Lots of things to do close by but no need of doing them because just been there at the fire pit or the barbercue or the perfect living room is great and relaxing. I cant explain with words how good it was and perfect for what we went for.

Mark's place was ideal for our large family catch up - 6 adults, 2 kids, 2 little dogs - with plenty of room to gather together. Outside verandah was lovely in the sun and the gates and fences were secure for the fur babies. It has a quirky layout (& decor) because of its old, but grand architecture. Bathrooms are quite updated. Central location meant easy walks to shops, cafes & foreshore.
