Family-friendly holiday rentals in Alphen aan den Rijn

The location was great, walking distance to trains and trams to get to the heart of Amsterdam. Far enough away to be quiet for nights in. Nancy was very communicative even though she was on holiday. Easy parking if you drive in and plenty of space for 5, especially if someone doesn’t mind the couch. Would be great for 3 couples. Amazing showers 😁

We felt comfortable. We liked the private garden and the open tastefully furnished living area. Of course, the cat Poppy was the highlight for our kids. Poppy is a friendly and easy-care cat. As described, the connection to the beach is really great and quickly accessible. There are also many ways to do things and excursions. There was always a friendly and quick exchange with hosts. It was very nice.

We stayed in the apartment for a weekend and felt very comfortable. With the bikes you could easily reach the nearby metro station and we had a good time in Amsterdam. The landlords were very friendly and always easily accessible. I highly recommend this place for Amsterdam stays.

Upon arrival, we were kindly greeted by Marcel, a nice and friendly man. The house was clean, tidy and well maintained. The wifi worked perfectly and there was a clear explanation for everything, which was very useful. The location is wonderfully secluded, so you don't have to worry about neighbors and you feel completely free. We will definitely come back here again!

We had a lovely time in the cottage. The garden is completely fenced, so even small kids can go out without a care. With the stroller, you can get to Nordwijk within 40 minutes, there are small sandy areas where we had to carry it. And of course a few hills through the dunes.

Plenty of room, quiet neighborhood. The M5 bus made our commute to Train then Amsterdam easier. (Approx 1 hour). Loved the 2 free bikes available for us to use. The sauna was a lovely bonus to use at night to relax. Moniek’s was resourceful and actively answering our questions. Alot of gadget in the house, no cable on TV so it was hard for my elderly parents to figure out how to use an intelligent tv with Netflix and all but we managed differently. Area was really nice close to the house but Almere centrum gets a bit suspicious at night so be aware to not be a women alone at night coming back -even locals fidy not recommended.

Beautiful cottage, great location with a private garden with hot tub and barbecue. Very good kitchen equipment. Beach within walking distance. We had a great time!

We (4 people) were here in Jacomine's little cottage for 8 days. It is located in a nature reserve. It is wonderfully quiet. The house is lovely decorated. The kitchen is really well equipped. The large terrace with a view of the lake is particularly great. Here you can let your mind wander and watch the seagulls. We took many excursions and also used the bicycles in the house to cycle to Gouda. The Hague is about 35 minutes away and many beautiful excursion destinations are also 30-40 minutes away. We felt very comfortable. Thank you Jacomine and thank you dear Bert for the beautiful welcome and farewell. We highly recommend the house and will definitely come back.

Great place to stay with a great host, and we used the bikes provided often. Only 5 min bike ride to the train station & grocery store. Photos are a little outdated and it can get cold due to the nature of the construction.

We really loved staying at the beautiful farm island! The cottage was really charming and the cows nearby and the nature were really idyllic. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and thunder which is why the stairs on the outside were a little bit tricky but besides that it’s the loveliest place! 🌻🌞⭐️ Margot even let us try raw milk and cheese from their cows which was super nice!

We had 4 very nice days in the idyllic surroundings and the very nice house. There were five of us there and we had a dog with us too. Everything was a great fit. Beautiful little apartment in a very central location of Gouda. A lot is quickly accessible on foot. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for daily needs, even a washing machine is available. The only negative point is the expensive parking nearby, but Tim was also there to help us find alternatives! All in all a great stay.

A beautiful cottage directly on the lake with its own jetty. The apartment is well equipped in all rooms. Especially in the kitchen we were able to let off steam with the cooking well. Also, you can relax in a hammock during the day and end the day with a campfire. Gouda is 10 min away by bike and worth a visit. Peter was the perfect host and gave great tips. We agreed, I would be happy to come back again next year.

We had very relaxing days at Nathalie's, who was very hospitable and always helpful. The house was as described, quiet, clean and furnished with everything you need. The beach and the center are within walking distance. Personally, I was bothered by Noordwijk that we could not visit all the beach bars with our dog, even in a quiet time.

We spent a very pleasant week at the property. The location is super central and yet quiet – perfect for exploring the surroundings. The apartment was clean, tidy and perfectly adequate for our needs. The small kitchenette, where we could easily prepare small snacks, was particularly practical. Also, parking directly in the driveway and the possibility to safely park our bikes in the garden was a big plus. Pauline was always available and very friendly. We felt completely comfortable and can recommend Pauline and the accommodation without reservation! Thank you, Pauline :-)

Great accommodation and great hosts. We had a lot of fun and felt comfortable. The accommodation was accessible by boat and we could go shopping by boat. It was a real adventure. The accommodation and the pool were clean. Everything was fine for us ☀️

The house boat was just as it looked in the pictures! It was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. It was perfect how the kids sort of had their side, or wing, and my husband and I had our space in the master bedroom, on the other side. We all slept very well! We loved the cats, Skip & Bo. We are animal people, so it was fun having them come and go, and socialize and snuggle with us! The views were amazing and there were plenty of spots to just chill when we weren't out exploring. The house boat was very walkable to many fun spots and different areas. We definitely felt like we were staying in someone's home versus a rental. Enjoyed all of the personal touches in the kitchen as well! We would go back in a heartbeat and recommend Joost's place without hesitation!

Fabulous place just outside of Utrecht. Perfect for biking, walking, and running. Peaceful atmosphere. Great host. Very nice and engaging. Highly recommend it!

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊

Great mix between a very livable place to stay and a bucket list experience. Easy to cook, quiet nights, cozy! We stayed 10 days and enjoyed Utrecht as our NL base. Responsive and nice host, who has great info and recommendations in her guest book. Easy (25-min walk) to get to the historic center. Host also provided 2 city bikes, making it so easy to get around. We came by car but didn't need to use it due to walkability of everything. Houseboat is very well designed - it's small but there is organized and efficient space for everything you might need, without sacrificing hominess. Woodstove with plenty of wood and the huge windows overlooking the water make for a very serene stay. We're full time travelers by car in EU/UK/Balkans for over 4 years

In a resort, the neighbors around are all very nice, especially Joe, who made us feel at home throughout our trip. Thank you, Host!

We had such a great time at Laura’s Airbnb! While it was a long walk to the heart of Amsterdam, there are so many public transportation options close by and they are so easy to navigate. The neighborhood is gorgeous and we would definitely stay again!
