Carola's houseboat was a magical place to stay as a solo female traveler and first-time visitor to Amsterdam. The location was secure, and Carola lives next door, which made me feel extra safe. It still felt very private though! I liked that it was out of the craziness of downtown, but still very easy to reach by tram, bike, or walking (20ish minutes). The bedroom was cozy with lots of storage for my clothes and toiletries and stayed pretty cool. You never know what kind of bed you're going to get at an Airbnb, but this one was perfect. I slept well every night and only got woken up by a heron on the roof once! :) Carola herself is extremely kind and welcoming and made my experience special with small touches and our conversations. I can't wait to come back and book Carola's place again. It might be a little small for tall people, but it was perfect for me!

This accommodation proved to be an ideal choice for our weekend getaway. Eva and Theo were brilliant hosts, and their home was warm and inviting atmosphere. Situated in a great location, it offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Accessing the airport was both convenient and efficient, and a short walk leads to various transportation options, allowing for a quick journey of no more than 45 minutes to reach the city center. Theo provided us a lovely breakfast which helped set us up for our busy day of sightseeing. Thank you so much for being amazing hosts!

Quiet Delft Blue room with airco

The stay with Yvonne and Stephan was incredibly nice. We were warmly welcomed. After a short tour with important information, we moved into the room. The room and bathroom were very clean, lovingly furnished and cozy. The bed very comfortable, we slept wonderfully. In the hallway there is a large fridge , in the room there was a coffee machine and always enough Nespresso capsules were available. We arrived by car and with our e-bikes. The parking in front of the house ( free) was very pleasant for us, considering how high the parking fees are in Amsterdam. The house is in a very quiet and idyllic setting. We were allowed to park our e-bikes in the private, enclosed bicycle room. The accommodation is a 5-minute walk from Zuid train station, where you can be in the center in about 15 minutes by metro. Yvonne is a loving and warm host . Thank you for everything.

Marius is a wonderful host. Was very patient in answering all our questions about using the appliances, how to use the trams, and how to get to places. Also shared good recommendations as to where to eat and even made reservations for us. The living room has a copy of Rick Steves Amsterdam pocket guide that has a detailed map of the city. Very nice location that’s not in a crowded tourist area. Thank you Marius!
