Beautiful, peaceful oasis with a wonderful view and incredibly kind hosts. Thilda has created a sanctuary overlooking the lake, with all the needs for simple living well met. So lovely to relax among the trees, flowers, birds, and butterflies. Both Thilda and Pedro are very sweet, caring and considerate — they truly made sure I had anything I needed. The room feels larger than it appears in the photos, although it is the smaller (and darker, when the door is closed) of the guest rooms. I found it comfortable for one person, but I think it would be very tight with two. The room’s windows open directly on to walkway from the other room, and the door opens onto the garden area, shared outdoor shower, basin, and toilet (it’s helpful to know that sound does travel!) However it is away from the noise of tuk tuks and most of the village dogs, so almost all you hear are birds, crickets, and the lanchas on the lake. It’s a really special, serene retreat, and I highly recommend staying here.

I really enjoyed my stay at Dido’s place! I highly recommend this place! Here are the cons: The place is BEAUTIFUL, the garden, the antique furniture, whole outdoor! The staff are warm&always around. I felt safe leaving all my things in the room, normally I hide my laptop in case of a break in, or not knowing who will be cleaning my room. - place is spotless clean, serene and beautiful! Dido is super friendly, always responsive The place feels private, it’s peaceful, slight away from the hussle and bussle but very walkable. I enjoyed staying in and doing some work on my computer. Here are the slight imperfections: - The rooms aren’t super bright inside during the day, I didn’t mind because that meant it was cooler on days which are hot. - no air con, Dido accommodated me with a fan, which was perfect! - pots in the kitchen are old, scratched. It would be nice maybe to have some ceramic pots to cook. - bathroom is ok, slight dump smell, normal for Central America. Shower is good

I stayed here at Thilda's place for about a month and had a very nice time. The property is very pretty and quiet, with a beautiful garden and a terrace with a great view of the lake. The apartment is basic but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I was working remotely here, and I was able to do video calling and download files. Streaming movies and sports worked OK as well. Because the house uses limited solar power, there is no refrigerator or other appliances like a blender. There is a cold box in the garden which seemed to keep things fresh slightly longer, but don't expect it to work like a fridge. The bathroom is shared with the other room here, which has a little less privacy than the room I stayed in. Thilda's property is a great place to stay for a short or long time. She and Pedro were very welcoming. You can enjoy the beauty of the lake while relaxing in one of the prettiest and quietest towns in the area.

We were completely satisfied. the value for money is correct There is also a laundry service that we did not use.

Good dormitories. As in the photos, comfortable, elegant and modern. It's quiet. The stay was very good, the only thing I would recommend is that you include a fan, even a floor fan. I would stay again

Everything was fine

great find! Mariane was very helpful and accommodative during my stay. The bed was very comfortable which was a huge plus and the home is a close walk to everything you need. As a single female I felt safe walking both in the day and at night. very much recommend!

Diana's place is perfectly located: right in the middle of the city; but it's not noisy as the windows are to the yard; there are super many restaurants in the area and a cheap supermarket. Our stay was topped by the grandiose rooftop terrace overlooking the volcanoes.

Just on the outskirts of the city center, Carlos’ home was quiet and cozy, yet only a 5-10 minute walk to get anywhere central. Such a beautiful space to be sharing with Carlos and his family, who were so welcoming and friendly to interact with. There is a beautiful garden space, a kitchen with everything needed to eat at home, a hot shower, and a comfy bed! I have a feeling I’ll be back here in just a couple of weeks :)

A clean, comfortable spot. Very close to the airport was very helpful since we were canceled our flight and we were a large group and the accommodation was ideal for the group and spending the night

Very nice place, clean, very friendly staff.

The room was great - it was equipped with everything needed for our 3 night stay. The host was super helpful and communicative and the room looked exactly like the photos. Clean, comfy bed and blankets, and quiet. It’s centrally located in Antigua which makes it even better for walking around. Tucked in an alley, it allows for a great nights sleep without street noise. There was a personal note left for us which we found very considerate and cookies + water bottles. The bathroom was also clean and convenient to have in our room. Would 100% recommend this listing!!

Nestled deep in the wooded highlands of San Lucas is a paradise known as Granja Nahomy. The gardens were most peaceful and Nahomy and her mother are very warm and hospitable. Her mother is a professional chef and I was spoiled on various occasions, thank you! Their property and location is very therapeutic. The people of San Lucas are very kind. Thank you again for everything you did for me, all is greatly appreciated.
