The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . We renovated our old stone home to create a peaceful bedroom and large bathroom for our parents, but now it's perfectly-suited for guests. You'll have your own garden entrance, comfortable bed (choose king or twins), double sinks, shower and tub, indoor & outdoor seating, a hot Senseo drink station with mini-fridge, central heating, and ample parking including a covered area for bikes/motorcycles. Non-smokers only and no pets, please.

The house is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of the old village of Vogüé, ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages of France and Villages de Caratère, in Southern Ardèche. River, beach, restaurants and bars are 50 meters away. Less than a kilometer away you can benefit from many local shops (grocery store, pharmacy, bakery, butcher, nougaterie, fruits and vegetables, hairdresser, tobacco-press etc.).
