Formally a fortified castle “Fort de La Bastide “ was constructed on the site of a Roman military station. The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . There is full access to the large garden including an 10mx4m in-ground heated swimming pool .

Close to all amenities, 5 minutes from Yssingeaux, 20 from Puy en Velay, accommodating 2 adults (possibility of baby cot and high chair). Kitchen with fridge, microwave, electric stove, kettle, coffee maker. Bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, hair dryer. Nice little independent exterior. Possibility of breakfasts for an extra charge. WiFi during the day and until 11 p.m.

A large unoverlooked glass area will allow you to feel at one with nature. Guests can relax by the pyramid fireplace (lit from October to the end of April) as well as in the suite's private spa (jacuzzi). Breakfast will be offered with a sweet or savory option according to your preferences.
