The decision to stop in Soroa was a valuable enrichment. Virginia welcomed me warmly and we were able to communicate well. She lives alone, her dear sister next door - pure women's power:-) Unfortunately, her garden was quite devastated by the cyclone. She would certainly appreciate helping hands, volunteer 'gardeners' are welcome! I highly recommend breakfast and dinner, even a few drinks can be purchased from her. Soroa is a simple village, located on gently curved ridge. Perfect for getting down and to get to know Cuba authentically. It invites you for walks. The waterfall is a highlight! A horseback ride or bicycle as well as a visit to Las Terazzas, if possible, are recommended. Thank you for the pleasant stay and the plant science dear Virgina, all the best!

Beautiful large garden, rocking chairs on a very cozy veranda. Insanely clean and nicely decorated, huge portions very good and highly recommended food. But above all incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Very great people!!! Highly recommend for family with kids!

Virginia was very attentive to us making it easy for us to get to transportation, food and breakfast delicious! Various things of interest can be done by Soroa!

We were very happy with the accommodation, and the host who was very kind throughout our stay. Maria is very endearing and kind. She welcomed us very warmly. She kindly gave us a mosquito repellent. The bed is comfortable, the room has air conditioning. Water and drinks are available in a fridge. The accommodation is a 20-minute walk from the activities of Soroa and it's perfect. Don't hesitate to stop by Maria's to take a walk in Soroa.

We actually did not get to meet Luis but we were absolutely delighted by Dayessi. The national blackout was several days underway and so retrieving directions from phones was impossible; Dayessi went the distance to make sure we found the property in the dark and welcomed us as though we were her long-lost family. She ran a generator to cool our rooms and served us enough food for dinner to last several meals. She personally drove to the airport 4 times to connect our family members to their flights back to different parts of the U.S. and when there was a pause between trips she invited us to join her to a farmer's market where we experienced how locals grocery shop. On the way to and from the airport, she was stopped by various people who waved or even leaned in the window to hug her. I observed that Dayessi has a knack for "collecting" people and animals in need. We were privileged to be among those for whom her heart makes room. She made us feel safe during the crisis.

Very relaxing experience, immersed in nature and its sounds. The place is close to the Las Terrazas village that can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. There are also the beautiful pizzas of the San Juan River, which can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes. He also helped us find a taxi to visit the Cafetal Buenavista, and organized a guided hike on foot You can have dinner and breakfast at the property and I recommend it!

Hostinel is very kind and willing to help in any situation. Instead of a crash house, we were offered another one that had solar panels, which was very helpful due to the power outages in Cuba - only the air conditioning didn't work in the event of an outage. The breakfast was varied and very tasty. We had chicken one day for dinner and the next day Ropa vieja (chopped beef). There was always soup to eat. The food was always excellent. Alexander and I went on a trip around the neighborhood, which is very nice. I recommend this hostile. He takes good care of his clients.

Small and cozy place. They have parking on the premises and overall great little place from which you can explore places like Soroa and Las Terrazas.

The place is lovely, the room is impeccable and above all the wonderful garden with several terraces where it is easy to stay to enjoy the tropical environment! We were super well attended in a very professional way by Jorge Luis. I recommend it.

Giselle was great. She gave me a tour of her garden. All of the food she served was grown in her own garden. The only issue is that the location provided by the link on the Airbnb is incorrect. The casa is located up on the mountain in Soroa not in Candelaria. The address provided is correct which is how I found it.

I had a great time at Aliuska's place! The room is exactly as described and surrounded by a beautiful garden. I enjoyed spending the evening looking at sunset from the porch. For those interested: Aliuska and her husband are artists, and their art is on display! I also use this opportunity to recommend Alex, a local guide that Aliuska put me in touch with: Alex knows about everything of Soroa and the nature that surrounds it, including Aliuska's garden and its history. Would recommend his guidance if you decide to stroll around!

This is a setting perfect for art and nature lovers. The environment is full of quality art and close walking to the orchid garden which is amazing, the top views and also a little beautiful waterfall. A hotel is very close walking for evening drinks and a walkable restaurant. Dinner and breakfast at home was delicious with delicate touches , flavors and absolutely lovely. She can arrange transportation and connect with art and tours in Havana

A wonderful stay! From the first moment, the host was absolutely charming: attentive, friendly and always willing to help, which made the whole process very simple and pleasant. You could see that you really care about hosting an excellent experience. The stay exceeded my expectations. Everything was spotlessly clean and well taken care of. The location was perfect, and the atmosphere of the place was quiet and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free experience. I would come back without a second thought!

This was a lovely place to stay! It is beautifully situated and easy to get to the village centre on foot. Mariano was a great communicator and was very helpful, flexible and friendly. He organised a fantastic birdwatching tour with a local artist and his wife cooked us lovely breakfasts and arranged reservations for us at a great vegetarian place in the village (El Romero). The room and bathroom are spacious and the front balcony provides excellent views of the mountains. The natural swimming pools are nearby too. We’d recommend here for Las Terrazas!
