The Peat Stack

ColinRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Peat Stack. Despite it's small size it still felt spacious and had absolutely everything you needed, along with a wonderful hot tub and Isobel's very friendly sheep who were always there to greet us after our travels. Only 10 mins from Stornoway, but a far nicer location to stay at than in the town. We can 100% recommend a stay a the Peat Stack. Simply wonderful!

Unique off grid cosy farm Bothy in the Highlands.

Amazing escape from the busy world. We loved the calm environment at the bothy and the wildlife in the surroundings. Spending some days without permanent electricity and cooking on the Rayburn was a great experience to slow down during holidays

Tansy is a great hostess. The house is very quiet and right by the sea. We got a lot of good tips. We would come back back.

The Bunker

JulianneRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Such a beautiful opportunity to experience the quiet and authentic side of Stornaway. We loved every minute we spent at The Bunker! The views were spectacular and the sunrises/sunsets ever changing. The kitchen was sprinkled with locally baked treats and even homemade jam for us to enjoy. It was such a delight. The only drawback, for me personally, is how I move forward with no warming towel rack in my life!! I can’t unfeel the delightfulness of warmed clothes on a chilly morning. They are not common in the states. On a scale of one to ten, The Bunker was easily a 72 ;).

Outstanding coastal views at Sandy Bay Pod

CaitlínRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My partner and I had a wonderful stay in this cozy pod. The view from the deck was stunning and especially enjoyed when the weather was good, when we were able to sit out with a glass of wine :) A car is definitely needed to get around the area as it is quite rural but if a getaway to the countryside is what you're after, I can wholeheartedly recommend!

Isle View

Wow what an incredibly luxurious pod. Absolutely beautifully done out inside. A very well thought out designed pod to make the guests feel very much at home. Everything you need is there alongside luxury. Jeanette is a lovely host who gave clear precise instructions and directions. The hot tub is of course an added bonus. The pod is easy to find, private and with a stunning view. We stayed two nights as this was all we had touring the NC500, but you could easily stay longer if time permitted. Highly recommend this pod if travelling through this area
