Entire Private Resort |For Large Events & Retreats

If I could give our stay 10 stars out of 5 I would. Daniel and Sumalee are amazing hosts and Sabai Sabai is even more beautiful than the photos. Everything was perfect and Daniel was always available to offer advice and recommendations as well as making sure everything ran smoothly. He goes way above and beyond. I’m looking forward to coming back again next year!

Tha Ma-O Bou-Teak homestay in Lampang old town

FrancesRating, 5 stars60 months ago
Pim's place is super comfortable, and has plenty of space for a family to relax after a day of exploring Lampang. The breakfast was extra special and it was lovely to talk to Pim and hear more about her beautiful city. We loved using the bikes to visit local markets and coffee shops.

If you are looking for basic accommodation that is comfortable near the floating pagodas of Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat Phrachomklao, this is a great place to rest your head for the night. This is a pretty basic review since I was only there for 1 quick night. The location was really hard to find from the address provided. Every map app I had landed me about 15min too far south from the actual location. If you need to find this place, DO NOT search by the address provided, instead search for “Himdoy Muangpan Resort” and your maps should find it just fine. The host was kind enough to accommodate a late check-in but communications when I was lost at night and needing some direction were a bit slow in response. I was starving when I arrived and unfortunately there was nothing open in town, including the cafe on the premises, so I just didn’t eat for the night and figured I’d fill up on a hearty breakfast in the morning instead. The host speaks a bit of English, but the person who checked me in for the night did not. It was fine and we figured everything out but just be aware if you plan to stay here. The room itself is very clean and spacious. The bed was firm but very comfortable with nice fluffy pillows. It was a bit chilly at night in the mountains and an extra blanket would have been nice to have on hand. There is a TV, VERY small closet (if you could even call it that) with some hangers, 1 large bottle of water with 2 glasses, a small chair, 2 towels, soap and toilet paper provided. There is no WiFi here which was a bit disappointing and no guide book which would have been nice to have on hand since there are so many awesome things to check out in the area! The bathroom is one of the largest ones I’ve had so far in my travels in Thailand which was really nice for a change and the shower had hot water (just be sure to flip the switch on!). Be aware that this is a farm stay, which I love but some do not appreciate. You’ll have roosters waking you up first thing in the morning if you don’t bring earplugs. The view of the mountains in the morning was breathtaking and the cafe is setup in a perfect spot to take it all in while you have breakfast. You can even see the silhouette of the floating pagodas from the other side of the mountain if I’m not mistaken! There were lots of chickens running around in the morning and a couple of horses out in the field. The breakfast was delicious and included with the stay! Thai rice soup (consisting of rice in a watery broth and a “pork meatball”), along with a fresh soft boiled egg. It was just the perfect start to the morning. Coffee is available but will cost extra at a reasonable price. It was good but not the best I’ve had so far. Still better than the instant mix coffee you see a lot in Thailand though! The floating pagodas are about a 30min drive from this location. If you have time afterward, check out Chae Son Waterfall and the hot springs (located in the same park) where you can take a dip and watch the locals cook eggs in special handwoven baskets in the hot springs. It’s like a mini Yellowstone National Park and was definitely a highlight of my trip so far. There is a (reasonable) fee to get into the park and is about a 40 minute drive from the pagodas on your way to Chiang Mai it Chiang Rai.

TK Home #2

It was so nice to stay at this place as it felt like a real apartment with a kitchen, tv, sofa and a seperate room. The location is not that far from the bus station and also not far from the big market. Also the coin laundry is just next door which was very convenient. I would recommend this place to everyone

Lada House :: Nature reaching Room

I enjoyed my stay in Lada House. It's a lovely bed and breakfast and the hosts are super. I inquired about a Thai sweet baking class and the host made it possible. It was a great experience. I will book Lada House again on my next visit to Lampang.

Relax in a tent at our farm stay in Lampang

VictoriaRating, 5 stars65 months ago
The perfect travelers getaway! This was our first stop on a car rental road trip from Chiang Mai. The setting is serene, Pok and his family are the nicest and most helpful hosts we’ve had so far. Ducks, chickens, and a sweet dog named Puppy wander the farm. Two clean bathrooms with showers (including hot water!). The platform has power too, fans and a fridge. This is a great spot for relaxing in the hammock, catching up on journaling, re centering, and close enough to town to explore local Thailand. If we ever pass through again, we will definitely stay here! Thank you Pok!!!!
