We stayed the May 2025 long weekend and had a great time at Carl's place. The host was quick and responsive and the house was cozy, thanks to the fireplace! The only minor things were one of the bedrooms didn't have any curtains and the fridge smelled fishy. Other than that, great spot right by the lake! I'd recommend Carl's place to future guests.

Cozy Cottage on the Madawaska River

Easy no contact needed entry. The host was quick to respond to any questions. Good use was made of the space so you had everything you needed but could still move around. The kitchen is very well stocked with extras as well as necessities for cooking. A top notch shower head that wasn't to low (I'm 6 feet tall), and towels provided. Outside had a fire pit and firewood provided.

Our stay at Charlie's cottage was fabulous. The location is unbeatable: a private and serene setting, nestled directly at the beautiful lake and with a private beach. The cottage itself is very clean, cozy and well stocked. Finally, Charlie is a wonderful host; he is friendly, helpful and responsive. We can't wait to return again.

We had a great stay. Very relaxing and only a five minute drive to Barry’s Bay. Lori was always very responsive, helpful and kind. Our son enjoyed the beach and the water was great. Lori provided some water toys that he really enjoyed. The bed is so comfortable and we had wonderful sleeps. The campfire was great too. Highly recommend!
