A one-night lightning visit with a very good dinner! The beach is very close, easy to access on foot, the best on arrival! All the women in the place are very nice and helpful. The bus we wanted to take the next day didn't come and the beach we wanted to see was closed. Our host found us a taxi and advised us of another beach, and the day was perfect! One of us was sick, she accepted that she stayed in the accommodation all day, provided her with a bed, as well as herbal teas etc... A big thank you for everything!

Yudy & Risber are very sweet people who like to please you. Dinner and breakfast are exquisite. I'm glad I was able to stay with them. Absolutely recommended.

We had a brilliant time here, we had each day filled with all the activities we wanted to do around the bay of pigs, and Joriol and his team had all our transport and guides sorted. Our driver was amazing and had so much patience with our very basic level of Spanish! The house is also a 2 min walk out the back door from the beach which we made use of daily, and there are great views from the terraces.

We had an amazing time at Lidia's place and in Playa Giron. Breakfast was fresh and homemade, absolutely delicious. As well as the dinner she cooked for us (lobster). Lidia is very friendly, she also organised diving for us and helped us with getting dollars when we ran out :) She won't admit it but her English is very good. We would easily have stayed longer if we could and come back whenever we have the chance!

The stay went very well, they are welcoming and have very good visiting tips, the breakfasts are very good and hearty! Recommended:)

My family enjoyed our stay and Aermis was very welcoming. Our arrival was four hours late, and we were very hungry. She was able to have someone escort us to a restaurant. The house was decorated beautifully with art work, and very clean. The next day we were made breakfast which a very nice. Then a tour guide came and offered us a tour for the preserve. We went and it's a pretty place but it was ok. We only stayed one night and I we weren't able to go to the beach. Stay with Aermis, you won't regret it.

Zoraida's home is amazing...right next to the beach. The home cooked meals are delicious and all of Zoraida's family are lovely and super friendly. I would highly recommend.

We only stayed for three nights at Zenaida's and Pablo's but had a good time there. We were greeted very friendly with fresh juice and coconuts that grow in their backyard :) Pablo and Zenaida showed us around the house and their garden which offered many tropical fruits. They also have a very cute dog ;) The communications was a bit difficult in the beginning as we didn't speak Spanish and they don't speak English but we managed to understand each other in the end. The only thing you have to get used to is the very loud voices of the two ;) I definitely recommend that you eat at Pablo and Zenaida's, their food was very delicious, especially the breakfast was very nice. Pablo and Zenaida were very helpful when my boyfriend and friend caught a cold, they made them homemade medicine which was really good and we ended up using it even at home. They also helped us to figure out how to get to our next destination and even gave us the address of one of their friends in the area in case we needed any help there. All in all, we had a nice time at Casa Cocodrilo and would definitely recommend it. Pablo and Zenaida, thank you again for all your help and the good medicine!

Very good stay at Aylec's, the place is beautiful, the room overlooks the beach and the sea, which is a plus.

We enjoyed a wonderful two days with Marisel. A short walk to a lovely Playa and the dive centre is nearby which was why we were there. the Playa has some fun beach bars and has some good snorkelling as well. breakfast was delicious and expansive.

The apartment is in a great location with easy access to the beach and town of Playa Larga. Melisa was very responsive and helpful in organising travel and tours during our stay. She also includes an amazing breakfast each morning to enjoy whilst looking across the pretty fishing bay. I highly recommend doing the enigma de las rocas tour along with snorkelling at the cueva de los pesces. Just a note about the area: the restaurants along the beach all have a stunning view but are very expensive compared to other Cuban restaurants we went to. More like European prices as you are paying for being on the beach (which is paradise!). If you walk into town there are cheaper restaurants. We also had an amazing pizza from a street side shack nearby for only 200CUP!

What an amazing location, the perfect place to relax and enjoy the coast. We ate both breakfast and dinner each day, it was great quality and there was plenty to eat. The host was so friendly and arranged a trip for us to go and see the flamingoes at the local nature park, this was worth doing (if you like wildlife) as the number of bird species there was impressive. I would highly recommend this place if you want to stay right on the beach with a friendly, attentive host.

We had a nice stay with Eldys. There's no place like this! It's an advantage to be able to speak a little Spanish because the hosts don't speak English. Hosts are friendly and think along with you. They also act as a taxi. Breakfast (especially the pancakes) are very tasty! And their pet is really cute. Make sure the electricity goes out often, no air conditioning, light and internet. But there's nothing they can do about this, that's Cuba. Also mosquitoes and sand fleas on the beach, so bring protection.

Very good stay. The room was comfortable and clean. We feel safe. Accommodation is suitable for single women Meals were great. Well located close to the beach.

To stay with Bombo is to become a part of his family, and what an absolute privilege that was. I was very sad to leave Playa Larga, and my memories of his smile, his secret handshake, the generosity and hospitality of his wife will live a long time in my memory- proof indeed that kindness is still prevalent in the human condition. A lovely self contained space with comfortable beds in a good location in Giron. Would recommend!

By far the best place we've been in all of Cuba . Lilli and her family were very kind to us helping us and giving us great advice. We ate together every night because they're also great cooks and enjoyed playing with their son Aaron. We'll be back just for them . Super !

Lovely place to spend a few days, beach minutes away, town 20 minute walk. Very helpful friendly host and family.

Marisols room was basic but adequate. She served a delicious breakfast for $5. Playa Giron has power for only 2-4 hours a day and no one has back up generators so that is an issue in the heat. It’s a small quiet town with a small beach near by. The carribean is beautiful and warm.

The stay at Boris' was fantastic. The room and bathroom are spacious, fresh, clean, and bright. Everything works very well. Boris is extremely kind, and he gave us great advice on where to spend time and where to eat. He also found us a last-minute taxi at a great price for the Havana airport, since Viazul had canceled the bus trip without warning. I hope to be able to return to Playa Giron and your accommodation one day!

We could not have been happier here. The family are wonderful, the location is right by everything you want to see, and the rooms are amazingly comfortable. It is the perfect place to unplug and enjoy some beach time. The house is tucked away from the main street, and 5-10 minute walk from the beach, restaurants, and museum.
