Holiday rentals with lake access in Bayfield County

We arrived at the house in sub zero temperatures and were very happy to be inside the house with the wonderful radiant heated floors. Warm and cozy! Comfortable beds and warm blankets made for restful nights. The view of the bay is beautiful. Moon rising over the horizon reflected on the ice . We heard Great Horned Owls hooting in the distance. Next visit we hope to come in the summer or fall to walk around more and see the lake. Thanks again!

We loved Mary’s place. Mary is very responsive and provided parking reminders during winter storm. Plenty of room for our group. We enjoyed cooking meals and relaxing by the fireplace in the evenings. Highly recommend staying here!

Staying at Jeff and Susan’s was as easy as it gets— smooth check-in, beautiful location with wildlife out the back door (deer routinely passing through the yard), timely responses to questions, and minimal checkout process. Plenty of spices and cookware to feel like a home away from home. Home was very clean and watching the sunset over the lake from the living room never got old. Will certainly be staying here again!

The retreat on the lake was a beautiful place to spend a few days. We were there in the winter, and it was a nice cozy atmosphere to be in. The lake is beautiful, and there are beautiful walking trails in the neighborhood. There is a nice little community beach which would be great in the summer. The modern lake house was an amazing experience. The beautiful surroundings and peaceful setting made it perfect for a weekend getaway. The house was very equipped with many modern conveniences and easy to feel right at home. The house was spotless and clean, the bedrooms super comfortable and the layout was great for a group stay. Peter was a friendly, generous and very communicative host. He had great suggestions and sent very helpful instructions for local spots or recreational ideas. I would definitely book a stay again. It was especially fantastic in October for fall colors!

An incredible space at the end of a private drive, overlooking the lake. The space was warm and welcoming, literally and figuratively! Loved the front sitting room with floor to ceiling windows to sit and sip coffee and enjoy the views. The proximity to the neighboring Houghton Falls preserve was enjoyed using the trail on the property. Peaceful, relaxing, made use of the large fire pit outdoors with the lake in the background. Close enough to town if you forget something and need to run in real quick, otherwise peaceful privacy to enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.

Very clean and cozy. The WiFi wasn’t working which was frustrating as there’s zero cell signal. Otherwise it was very comfortable!

My family and I were very happy with: the location, the great water view from the balcony, the attached bookstore (a must visit), everything you need in Bayfield being within walking distance (including the ferries to the Apostle Islands & the Saturday morning farmer's market), the long list of amenities in the apartment, the cleanliness of the apartment, easily accessible parking spaces, and the quick and thorough responses from the hosts. Some patrons at the bar next door were laughing & having fun a little loudly outside on Friday night when we were going to bed, but the sound machines that were available in each of the bedrooms easily took care of it for us. (Saturday night, the patrons were quiet, but we still enjoyed using the sound machines.) We needed help with the airbed and the hosts took care of it promptly. We would definitely stay here again!

A lovely place to stay, only 3 block walk to shopping areas and coffee! We had our own private getaway and loved having a deck to relax on. Would absolutely come back next time we visit the area!

If you are fortunate enough, to spend some time on Minnesota’s North Shore, you won’t be disappointed staying here. Brenda and Tom‘s place is exactly as described. It is more than we expected. It is clean, beautifully decorated, and a lovely place to spend a vacation. The location is perfect and so scenic! We enjoyed sitting on the deck and even spotted an Eagle! We had a wonderful time hiking and exploring the surrounding area, including Gooseberry Falls, Grand Marais, and the quaint town of Two Harbors.

Pearl and Jim are great hosts, very easygoing and always helpful. The apartment is the lower unit, exactly as described. From the great window in the main room to the wonderful deck, large bathroom, comfortable bedroom with plenty of closet and drawer space, everything worked well. The garden and lawn that lead down to a small private beach are beautifully landscaped. The apartment was spotless and comfortable.

Such a great location! We just visited Applefest and the Annex is only 11 minutes away. We absolutely loved walking down to the beach, it’s a little private walk down the hill to a secluded beach with beautiful rocks and sea glass. The Annex #1 was the perfect size for two people, and so clean. We will definitely be back next year!

This place is a little slice of heaven on earth. The white cabin has old school charm with an unbeatable view of the bay + a nice patio & firepit. The bonus to this stay was the absolute SIZE of the property. There's everything from a huge open field with an apple tree, to several private beaches, a peaceful quarry, a boat launch, and a trail leading along the shoreline with plenty of benches to rest along the way & take it all in. Pictures don't do this place justice; it's a "see it to believe it" experience.

Very cute place to stay with everything you would need! There was plenty of free firewood, items for the grill, and kitchen supplies. Our stay was very peaceful. The cabin does have other cabins around but other guests were very quiet and respected the quiet hours after 10pm. Highly recommend for a long weekend get away.

Wonderful, peaceful cottage with access to a small private beach on Lake Superior. Great outdoors amenities including a charcoal grill and fire pit with wood provided.

This was our first time in this area of Wisconsin. We found this to be the perfect location for everything we wanted to do and explore! The house was spotless and well stocked with what you needed. It’s a bit dated, but that doesn’t interfere with comfort. Katie was so easy to communicate with. Would recommend staying here and we hope to be back!

This was my second stay at Corny Cottage. This place has anything you could possibly need. The kitchen has great cookware. The bedrooms are comfy and cozy. We spent most of the time in the sunroom or outside. Drank great coffee down by the dock. We grilled out. We used Erin's recommendations to help pick hikes and find cool, quiet beaches to hang out at. Already thinking about when I can get back here again.

This place is in a beautiful wooded area however, you are only five minutes from Bayfield Harbor. It was lovely to have a screened in porch in September . We also enjoyed going down to the harbor in our neighborhood and sit on the beach . We loved our stay so much. We ended up hiking in several locations up the highway to little sand bay and cornucopia..
