The Shanty at Blue Mountain

The Shanty is a one room 200 sq.ft. cottage for a weekend get-away, a short to long-term work assignment or the perfect spot for creative work like composing or writing. It is three miles from access to the Appalachian Trail and is an ideal respite for thru hikers. It is a quiet, sunny room just a few steps from a private bathroom in the main house. We are a short driving distance to all local restaurants, hiking/biking trails, kayaking, and shops. Access to the pool and a private patio are included in the price of the rental.

A small suite located above the town of Jim Thorpe. I am really geared towards couples looking for a weekend getaway. The space is smaller but very easily accomadates two people. A big step up from any hotel room/suite. The rental is not located in the town of Jim Thorpe. I am located about 10 minutes outside of town and about 5 minutes away from Penns Peak. The rental is connected to home but completely seperate.
