We are located in central Kathmandu with easy access to transportation, stores, heritage sites & tourist center Thamel (5 mints walk). We adopt eco-friendly ways and our place is relatively green and quiet, tucked in the lane, off the main street. Most houses in the neighborhood are of relatives making it more local, family friendly and welcoming.

Centrally located with easy access to sights and scenes of Kathmandu. 15 minutes drive from the airport, 10 minutes drive to the center of the tourist area. Pashupatinath Temple is just about 5 to 7 minutes away. Boudhanatha stupa is also about a 10 minute drive away. The apartment is very comfortably appointed and has a very warm and pleasant vibe to it.

We had an amazing stay in Kathmandu. The room and courtyard are super cozy, and the kitchen is spotless and free to use. Amir is a wonderfully friendly host — he checked in with us every day to see if we needed anything or had questions. We’re genuinely happy we chose this place! One small tip: bring earplugs, as it’s close to the street and can be a bit noisy. Thank you, Amir! Don’t forget to have your dinner at Annakoot Vegmandu :)

It was a great pleasure to meet Naoko and her family. Before my stay, Naoko thoughtfully sent me a detailed guide introducing the nearby places, which was incredibly helpful. During my stay, whenever I had any questions, she responded promptly and kindly. Every morning, opening the window to see the beautiful scenery was truly healing. The house assistant also did a wonderful job with the cleaning — she even found an earring I had lost for several days! The spotless fans must have taken a lot of effort to clean as well. Everything was just amazing ^ω^. I look forward to meeting 風の家 again next time.

The property is conveniently located near the main street, but it was peaceful. I enjoyed good sleep, and loved waking up to the songs of birds! The restaurant in the property is lovely, and there are many restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, and I would love to stay again : )

I spent my last few days with this wonderful Newar family, and I was warmly and hospitably welcomed. They helped me with everything, even cooked for me, and bought bananas and toast because I had a serious stomach issue – a gastric inflammation. The room is beautiful and very well maintained, the terrace is spacious with a lovely view. Playing the madal and singing together was a very special experience. I’m grateful to have met them.
