You will have your own private entrance with key-less entry. To access The Cottage, walk down the drive way, up the stairs to your suite. The Cottage was custom built with luxury in mind. This one-of-a-kind space provides the ultimate beach getaway! Custom doors and lighting, private balcony off your bedroom, black-out curtains, amazing shower with heated tile flooring, new super-comfortable Eastern King bed with luxury memory foam topper, remote controlled A/C and heating unit, bar sink and mini fridge, Nespresso coffee maker, tea kettle, Direct TV, closet, beach chairs and towels, and more. Unrestricted street parking. Local surf board and bike rental around the corner and if traveling with your four-legged friend, check out online sites for in-home doggie care within blocks. Walk to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters in the morning, Wayfarer Bakery and around the corner for amazing sunsets at the ocean. We are available to help with any questions or concerns during your stay. We look forward to having you! The cottage is a 4-minute walk from the ocean that has a lovely park and benches to enjoy the view, the sunrise and sunset, and clean ocean air. Just steps away from some of the best coffee shops, bakery and cuisine in the Bird Rock, LaJolla neighborhood. Enjoy great bars, shops and casual dining. It’s within a very short ride to Wind n'Sea Beach as well as the sand and surf of Pacific Beach and Mission Bay. LaJolla Cove is an 8-minute car ride. Walking is the BEST way to see La Jolla! Explore the neighborhood and its architecture, see the sea lions in the Cove, shop downtown La Jolla or just hang by the beach! If you want to explore more, Uber is the best way to get around! Pacific beach is 5-min away, Mission beach is 8-min away and downtown San Diego is only 15-min away! Access to The Cottage is down the driveway, and up the stairs. True, there is no direct view of the ocean from your Studio. BUT if you walk about 40 feet by the house, there is an ocean park right next door. It is perfect for drinking a morning coffee and listening the waves. It is the spot where locals hanging out. It is next to one of the most popular surfing spots in San Diego. What a darling space! If you’re lucky, you’ll see the peaches and lemons ripen on her trees. The en suite was perfect for one -only challenge being the bed if you’re tall (I’m 172cm). The neighborhood is super walkable, lots to do and access by the available bus routes. 10/10 recommend for a solo traveler!

This is this second time we stayed with Jim and Alisson in their Bird Rock Suite. We LOVE this place and cannot say enough great things about it!! Jim and Ali are exceptional hosts that anticipated all of our needs. Their communication is above and beyond as is their flexibility. They notified us as soon as they were ready for us and also made sure we were okay on check out day. Bird Rock is a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. Its close enough to all the fun and adventures that San Diego has to offer but far enough to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city. This place is perfect! And if you stay here, make sure to visit the Wayfarer Bakery down the road. That is my first stop each and every morning. Jim and Alisson's place is the only Air BnB that we've ever visited twice and it's because they are THAT exceptional. And we are already looking forward to our next trip to San Diego! Aloha & Mahalo Jim & Ali!

Sally's place is THE home away from home. Besides the immaculately beautiful villa, Sally was tremendously hospitable and made us feel like we're visiting family. You can wake up to the wonderous sights of the city and ocean and even watch sunset from the patio. It's also very quiet and close to nature, we can hear birds chirping in the morning.

Very nice and comfortable stay in a clean room. Also, Stacy has the fanciest toilet I've ever used. It's worth the price just to experience the toilet (I'm not kidding). The room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable, even though there were guests in other rooms on both sides of it. The room is a corner room with two windows, but there are blackout shades on both, so I was able to sleep comfortably past sunrise. Well done, Stacy!

This place was a great location to be staying at in San Diego. The location is right in Mission Beach and very walkable to a lot of close by things to do. The Airbnb was a great place and had a lot of local recommendations. They were extremely friendly and accurately described the cute and cozy home. You can tell that they genuinely care for the guests. I strongly recommend this place for anybody visiting San Diego.
