Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Bonfield

We are in awe with how amazing this place is. The river is a joyous sight to enjoy, the house is comfy, the hosts welcoming, and the drive up was full of grand views. There are trails, games indoors and outdoors, the best stocked kitchen I've ever seen from an Air B&B, and an amazingly relaxing softtub. Wanda and Greg were immediately inviting and let us know in advance what to expect on how to get there and the fun things to do while at Valhalla and in Mattawan. If I could recommend anything to someone coming here it would be to bring a good pair of waterproof shoes and a day pack to explore the mountain paths. They were a great treat and we would walk them again in a heartbeat. There are so many things to rave about at this cozy home I can't list them all here but we will be happy to return and enjoy even more of what Valhalla has to offer.

Paula made our stay amazing again! The fire was going and the place was toasty warm. We were lucky enough to be there while the goats were having their babies and Paula let all 5 kids stay out with her for hours. We all had an amazing peaceful weekend. Highly recommend!

Thank you Dulcie for the lovely stay, we especially enjoyed the peaceful and beautiful scenery surrounding the cottage. The cottage was modern, clean and had everything we needed. Dulcie was super friendly and responsive throughout our stay. Bonus for us was being able to kayak and canoe on the lake which seems to go on forever! Overall, definitely recommend a stay here for those who want to escape the city for a bit and be in nature.

We booked the Airbnb last minute and it was the perfect getaway! Very clean and Kim was very responsive. Kitchen has everything you need! Lovely stay. We saw lots of white tailed deer next to the house while on a walk!

Johanna's place was super cute, clean and cozy. we had a little trouble getting the door unlocked but Johanna responded to my messages immediately and fixed the situation. she was very accommodating to our group and the house was fully stocked with all necessities and then some. a minute walk across the street to the beach but a nice little water view from front porch or living room. I would definitely stay here again.

Joan's place was a great place for us to unwind after the hectic day of our daughter's Nipissing Graduation. We stayed 2 nights in early June, the view of the lake was incredible and sitting on the patio listening to the waves lapping at the shore was just what the doctor ordered. The only problem we had was the fridge wasn't working, Joan had a bar fridge in before we even got there and it was lots big enough for us. Joan was super apologetic and even offered room in her fridge upstairs if we needed it. A trip out to The Trading post is always recommended if you like ice cream, cones are massive! We would definitely stay here again, Joan was fantastic to deal with!

What a perfect 3-day getaway! My friends and I loved our time at this cottage by the lake. It was so relaxing and exactly what we needed. The cottage was great, and the lake access was a huge bonus. We had an amazing time and would definitely return.

Beautiful place. Waterfront was great for the kids. Nice and quiet area. Local stores had everything we needed. Good fishing in the immediate area. Would recommend!!!

The place was beautiful. Quiet neighborhood. Only negative was we couldn’t find the gray bin mentioned for recycles. Otherwise I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to wind down and relax.

Absolutely beautiful location for a relaxing getaway. Quiet and serene sandy beach. Kayaks available as described and we thoroughly enjoyed taking in the views from the lake. Great place to take the opportunity to try out the SUP in the shallows of their sandy beach. Bev and Louise were welcoming and readily available to answer any questions. We truly appreciate our hosts for sharing their home to provide such a wonderful experience.

Where would I even begin? This was by far the best experience I’ve had. The unit exceeded expectations, it really did make you feel at home from the moment you walked in. It is honestly so nice, zero complaints. The host’s were absolutely amazing. They were so responsive to any need I had no matter how big or small, and made everything just so comfortable. I don’t think I’ll ever come across a group quite like them again. I would highly recommend this unit and any other unit listed under the host’s. They made being away from home and the struggles of daily life feel effortless. I am grateful for all they did and accommodated for me. As I said, best experience I’ve had by far.

Our stay was smooth and relaxed. The host was very friendly and accommodating. They were checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The space was well organized, clean and really cozy. We were really happy with all the amenities the host provided. Everything is prepared for us from the kitchen, living room bedroom and bathroom. The nature is beautiful and serene. Although we were unlucky with the weather, because it was raining all day the day that we were staying there. However, the host was very kind and understanding, to allow us to extend our stay for a little while just to enjoy the property on the beautiful sunny morning before our check out time. Overall, it was a really great experience there and we’re hoping to go back again!

This is our second stay at Mandy’s. Extremely comfortable bed and clean. No noise. Stocked kitchen. Quiet neighborhood. Mandy’s is very quick to respond.

What a spot! So nice being on Nipissing! Quinn even had snacks sitting there for our arrival! Drinks in the fridge as well. My co-worker and I stayed here for a week and a half and are hoping to be able to return! Great spot, great value and great hosts! Thanks again!

Adi went above and beyond to make sure that we had all of our needs met during our stay. his place was clean, private organized & accommodating for 4 people and easy to access. I truly enjoyed the private bonfire pit and barbecue. Adi's place is proximal to many amenities like tim hortons, mcdonald's, no frills, dalarama & gas stations, also perfectly walkable to many things, including a sandy semi private beach. we truly enjoyed our stay in North Bay while visiting family♡ definitely recommend

Liz and Joe are anazing hosts. They not only helped us unload but walked us through amenities in the house. They are super friendly, responsuve and very nice people. Not only their place had everything but they made sure to send additional stuff to help us. Above all, place was beautiful, quiet and had a great view. We were lucky to spot Aurora (northern lights) and meteors...lots of stargazing. Had a great weekend! Would go back again for sure and have already recommended to friends!

It is a beautiful little home in-front of the lake. We went for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boating in the lake. We had all the amenities that were needed. Host had great collection of indoor and outdoor games. It was a relaxing and fun weekend for all of us. Heather is very responsive and helpful. The only thing to point out is that the rooms have curtains instead of doors.

The Happy Place was a beautiful, quaint cabin with all the essentials for a peaceful nature getaway. Katie and Dave were thoughtful and proactive in providing check-in information and recommendations for things to do in the area. The cabin had tons of charming details, was extremely well kept and offered a lot of privacy. Weather and prior engagements kept us from enjoying the outdoor amenities (sauna, fire pit, kayaks) but we did enjoy throwing on a movie from their great collection. We would certainly come again to this picturesque cabin.

My friends and I found this cottage when looking for a place to stay for an ATV getaway, cottage was very close to the trails! Host was amazing to deal with and the whole process was easy! Felt very comfortable and will be looking at returning!

I can't thank Tiffany and Pat enough for being amazing hosts and helping me through a difficult time. I stayed there on two separate occasions. The location of the house is right on the lake and sitting and watching the sun rise was beautiful. Narrows Convience Store is down the street and so is Mikisew Provinvial Park. The house has all the amenities (more than any other Airbnb I have stayed at). I would rats it more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks again so much!

The Lil’ Red Bunkie was the perfect off-grid experience. This cozy tiny home had everything we needed for a peaceful getaway, and the farm-to-table food was amazing. We can’t wait to come back!

This North Bay cottage was everything I needed—peaceful, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The space had real warmth to it, and you can tell it’s cared for with intention. But the real gem? Matthew. Hands down the best host I’ve ever dealt with—super responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell he really cares. That kind of energy is rare, and it made the whole experience even more special. Would 100% come back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reset, a recharge, or just a damn good time in nature.

Fantastic little cottage on the Lavase River. Very nicely designed and decorated. Access and instructions were easy. When we walked in, immediately felt at home. It was very clean, bright and airy. The view is to the river which feels very private. Great hosts! Would book again and recommend to others.
