A couples’ retreat, the Canyon Wren Cottage is sculpted into bedrock amongst pinion pines and old growth mountain mahogany brush. A picturesque erosion sculpted sandstone monolith rises four stories at the edge of the yard, just beyond the cottage. The approach to the cottage from Teasdale Road, is down a short lane crossing through woodland fringed meadow with a wetland on one side and alfalfa cultivation on the other. The backdrop is beautiful rock form, including a large balanced rock.

The house is steps away from its name sake, the Birch Creek, which cascades down 2 waterfalls before joining with North Creek to form the Escalante River.
