Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety And Caters For Up To Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

Few people have seen it, let alone been inside!Incredibly it’s only 32 minutes from King’s Cross and a quick 10/15 mins taxi journey. Pl. note, we are not a venue for parties or events that extend beyond 8 paying guests. The Tower is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Children are welcome but must be closely supervised & fully at your own risk.

The Tower

The Tower is the perfect romantic high-end getaway for couples who want to get away from it all in a secluded location and fancy just something different. The Tower has recently been converted for use as a holiday let which was previously an unused ancillary building adjacent to The Water Works, an old water treatment plant near Bolsover, converted to domestic use in 2002 and featured on the Channel 4 programme Grand Designs. Available for single night stays.
