Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Bruce County

Had a fabulous (and alas, all-too-brief) stay at this architectural gem, located in a quiet and tranquil setting just a few minutes from the centre of Owen Sound. Sim was a wonderful host -- communicative and with lots of tips for things to see and do in the district. We aim to return as soon as possible!

What a lovely place and enjoyed the music in the fields!

The included, homemade breakfast was phenomenal each morning. It was nice to not have to plan and prep breakfast prior to exploring The Bruce. The room and bathroom were very clean. It rained one day and they checked to ensure we had rain jackets which was very kind. When we had questions, they were quick and helpful in their replies. This B&B acted as a great home base for us while we explored The Bruce for a few days. Thank you Sahand and Teresa!

This is my 5th time staying at the Friendly Owl! Teresa and Sahand have such a wonderful little haven in Lions Head. Excellent breakfasts, a comfortable bed and a large outdoor space with hammocks and a fire pit. Less than a ten minute drive to the Lions Heads loop trail head. Always a pleasure to come back!

Brenda’s place is amazing. We (me and my friend) stayed the night at barn and it was beautiful. Everything was planned and accommodated according to our requirements. Brenda is very polite. 18 mins drive from BNB to the beach where you can enjoy the mesmerising sunset. And a farm nearby to make Alpaca your friend. Would highly recommend this place. Thank you Brenda. Will plan to visit again soon.

Dorota and Merik were great hosts, fiendly, responsive, and super helpful and attentive we're so glad we met them, and we'll definately go back again. The place was gorgeous, lake front property with lots of privacy, and immaculate backyard. room was spotless, and the breakfast served was so delicious with generous portions. Five stars in all aspects

We stayed just one night as we toured through the area. This is not our usual kind of stay and found the entire experience unique and fun. We thought it was a bit expensive for what they offered but then realized that a wonderful, full-service breakfast was supplied for no extra charge!

Exellent location just in the heart of the town with the lake and sunset wiew and just steps from the National Park trails. plenty of restaurants, shops, variety if activities and port where you can take a boat to islands just in front of the house. Peter was proactive and attentive. He cooked for me abundant breakfast, and left plenty of additional options, including fruit, on the table. During the day there are tea and coffee for guests to enjoy in the cosy living room or terrace with marvelous view. I had a great experience and will definitely come back with my family.

Our stay with Anna and Zig was wonderful. We stayed in the lake view room, with a pittoresque view of the garden and close bay, with direct access to a deck with chairs to sit and relax. The house and decoration is very tasteful, everything was perfectly maintained. Breakfast was delicious. One evening we had a barbecue together, sitting around an open fire, having dinner with a wonderful sunset view. Zig gave us helpful tips on restaurants and activities. There is a canoe you can use. The B&B is located on a bay, a bit remote surrounded by trees, just a 10 min drive to Tobermory. We enjoyed our stay a lot, thanks Anna and Zig!

Peter was a wonderful host. Very friendly, and he knew all the things to do in Tobermory. We went during a non busy season so it was a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The area was beautiful and had some cute shops to explore. Would definitely go again

The log cabin home is so cozy and inviting! We came during the fall, and Rick had so many suggestions for great hiking locations. The cabin is lovely, with a wood fire burning and a delicious breakfasts waiting for you in the morning!

The stay with Dorota and Mirek was one of my best stays ever. Everything about their place is serene and beautiful. The peaceful sound of waves outside, soft piano music inside, warm, cozy and super clean interiors, fragrant aromatic pouches in every corner of wardrobes, homemade and home grown food and Dorota and Mirek's hospitality will blow you away. Their home reflects their love for each other and their surroundings and staying in it is an experience in itself. They go out of their way to ensure their guests are safe and enjoy their stay. Mirek even sweeps the algae inside the lake to ensure people don't slip while swimming!! Dorota ensured I got yummy vegetarian breakfast and they set up a fire in their gorgeous fire place for all guests one night. We had an amazing time listening to such interesting stories of fellow guest and Dorota's local recommendations ensured i prebooked parkings where required. Staying with them was a very heartwarming and unforgettable experience

Darlene is such a sweetheart. Her place is amazing and she offered lots of advice and recommendations. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast if you want to explore the area. The breakfast is spectacular and the Pine Suite smells so good!

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy spot! The house has a unique atmosphere, and beautiful sunsets are just a 5-minute drive away. The bed was super comfortable, and with no mosquitoes (as long as you spray and light a fire), it made for a peaceful night. Sofia was filling in for the main hosts, Vicki and Mark, and she was incredibly welcoming. The communication was clear throughout my stay. Sofia even gifted me fresh eggs for breakfast, which was such a nice touch. There's a friendly husky that adds to the charm of the place. Everything you need for a great BBQ is available, and firewood is provided, making it super easy to light a fire. The place is clean, well-kept, and comes with a helpful welcome guide. The only thing I would suggest is adding more outdoor lighting. Other than that, it’s a 10/10 stay – highly recommend!

It was everything we hoped for and more Darlene was a excellent host and dare I say a friend now. We came to celebrate a birthday and she went above and beyond getting the room ready with decoration a bottle of sparkly and cake to fit both our dietary restriction. I have complex dietary restriction and needs and Darlene was able to provide delicious meals with plenty of alternatives that allowed me to enjoy the same food as everyone else, keeping me included at all times. The atmosphere of the space was just immaculate and not to mention a variety of books and board games available for our use! Darlene offered us lots of advice on the best spots in town and where to best spend our time. overall an incredible experience and were already planning to go back in the fall.

We can’t say enough about our time in Tobermory and our stay at the Hikers Haven. It truly felt like home and the host went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable trip. Her place is beautiful, the breakfasts were unreal and when she says she is pet friendly, she isn’t kidding! Charles, our little Jack Russell, was treated like a king! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Very good people and hosts. Loved it. Very helpful and informative to us and recommend us a lot of things to do. Nice location very close to tobermory harbour. Very convenient to gas station and foodland. Will recommend to our friends and definitely will come back again.

Two Sisters Inn was everything we hoped for & more! The loft was so cozy, comfortable, and exceptionally clean! Cynthia & her family were the kindest hosts and they made us feel so welcome. We loved the thoughtful touches throughout the beautiful inn & the delicious locally-sourced breakfast! One of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed! Highly recommend!
