Absolutely wonderful place to enjoy a getaway! The location is fantastic with such a peaceful atmosphere. The house itself was great, clean, fresh and very big! We really enjoyed our time here and wish we could have stayed for longer! The host was great with communication and very friendly! There is nothing negative I can say with this one. It was perfect.

Sea view 1, green meadows, sheep and wide sky

StewartRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The apartment was very spacious, well furnished, with all the facilities we needed. We were fortunate to be on Islay with warm sunny weather, so the private patio and seating overlooking the water was a great bonus. Birte was very helpful with advice when we arrived, and with clear labels on equipment, so everything went smoothly. We were able to park our car in the secure area behind the gate. Islay was of course a fabulous place for walking and nature. Various small cafes were mainly closed during our stay, which was Sunday to Wednesday in May, but we enjoyed good meals, drinks or coffees at Sea Salt, the Bridgend hotel and Lochside hotel. Strangely, we didn't manage to visit any distillery visitor centre.

We had a great stay at Isabelles place! The views from the living room and bedrooms are stunning and the three bathrooms came in very handy with 4 people 😊 Also the kitchen is very well equipped and Isabelle was a great host! The home is a great place to start your Islay trip!

We felt right at home in the South Barn. We were warmly welcomed, with fresh flowers and a treat waiting for us. The house itself was very comfortable. A lovely place for walks and visiting nearby sights. We would have loved to stay longer! Thanks a lot!
