Charming village escape - with a few minor tweaks needed! This beautiful and peaceful little house is located in what I consider to be the most charming village on the whole island. The surroundings down near the harbour are simply enchanting. Although the house itself is quite small, it has (almost) everything you need for a short stay. I especially appreciated the good shower, strong wifi, and comfortable mattresses. Best of all was the fantastic roofed terrace where I spent many hours relaxing, even when it was raining, after long days working on photo shoots. A few small additions would make this place even better: Hooks for towels: There was literally nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom or bedroom. Cleaning supplies: A broom and dustpan would be helpful for a quick clean. Clothes drying rack: A place to dry clothes indoors would be very useful. Matches: We couldn't get the oven to light with the provided sparking lighter, so matches would be a good addition.

We were only in Santa Cruz for 2 nights. The place was very nice and above all clean. In addition, we were very warmly welcomed ☺️

We enjoyed our stay at Casa da Leocádia... the view is breathtaking. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace and just looking. The place Rosais is well located, quiet and peaceful, you can relax and unwind here wonderfully. The house is functional, equipped, very clean and we had plenty of space and tranquility. This stay makes you feel like you're at a boutique hotel. It is located on a lush property with 6 intentionally positioned "cabanas" to give guests their privacy. Each suite is equipped with all the essentials you would need and some, including a fully equipped kitchen & bathroom with extra linens and towels. The only thing we found it was missing was something to prepare coffee with. We were impressed by how clean, beautifully decorated, and perfectly serene it was! Jeorge was a wonderful host. He personally checked us in and gave us great recommendations on the island. He cares deeply about his property & it showed, we felt so fortunate to meet him! This stay exceeded our expectations & we would certainly return should we visit the island again.

Tania was a great host, always there to help and answer questions. Her hostel is a very nice place, clean and cozy, with a big kitchen that has everything you could ask for. The bathroom was very clean. We were lucky to stay there while there were almost no other guests, so we didn't have to share the room—which had a big balcony with view on Pico mountain by the way. If we come back to São Jorge, we will definitely stay at Marficas Hostel again!

I highly recommend the accommodation, everything was perfect. The apartment looks even better than in the pictures, the place Praia is wonderfully quiet and peaceful. You can go shopping on site and go to the beach, the airport, the town of Santa Cruz and the caldera are just a short drive away. Don't look any further, book immediately if the Moinho de Pedra is available!

The AirBnB was very nicely decorated and the bathroom and kitchen were very clean. In addition, Julia was very nice and helpful and welcomed us kindly. I can only recommend the AirBnB.

We spent four days in this beautifully converted windmill right by the port of Praia. The village center, the beach and the supermarket are only a short walk away. The port installations with their industrial charm spoil the otherwise beautiful location a bit, but it‘s quiet regardless. The views of the mountains are fantastic, as is the experience of living in an old windmill. The kitchenette is small and not the most practical, but caters to basic needs. Capsule coffee maker, microwave and oven are provided. The beds in both bedrooms were super comfy. It can get cool, but there are electric radiators in both bedrooms. The living room (a few easily manageable stairs) feels a bit like a museum with old appliances around. A narrow spiral staircase (odd angle) leads to the top bedroom, the highlight of the windmill! The terrace is great, but lounge chairs and a proper table would have been welcome. João is a great host, very helpful and always available. We loved our stay!
