Beachfront holiday rentals in Carlsbad

My husband and I enjoyed our stay! It was such a cute little beach house. Small home but the layout and lack of clutter made it feel bigger and functional. It was the perfect location for easily walking to the beach or dining near the pier. We would definitely stay again!

Tamaras listing was exactly like her pictures for a first timer In san diego the location was so beautiful and peaceful right off the beach exactly what I needed for a mini vacation I loved that it had its own little cozy balcony, and rooftop grill/ fire pit overlooking the view of imperial Beach there was so much to do in walking distance you couldn't beat the price for this place would definitely recommend and the host was very helpful and accommodating to any questions we had no matter the time if day thank you for making my stay worth it !

Great stay at Marabella! The views were stunning from our room! Located right on the water, walking distance from many shops and restaurants. The patio was nice and grounds were well kept and clean. The beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and outdoor shower was definitely appreciated. It was perfect!

Place was perfect for what we needed. Within walking distance to the beach and easily can walk right into town. Clean and comfortable would definitely stay again! Host was also very responsive. Thanks again 😊

We initially planned to stay in Leucadia for a week but decided to extend our stay for a full second week because we loved this place so much. The location is absolutely perfect. We walked to the Beacons beach to surf every day and had our pick of all the best restaurants on the 101 (highly recommend Birdseye Kitchen). The house itself is cozy and surprisingly private for a place on the 101. It helped to have laundry on site and Chris was responsive throughout our visit. The house isn't as well stocked as a lot of air bnbs (no wine glasses, coffee, ice cube trays, etc.) but you will probably want to eat out most of your stay anyway because there are so many great places within walking distance. We definitely plan to come back and highly recommend this charming little nook in Leucadia! Excellent cost for value.

Budd and Matt were very responsive, provided great local recommendations and their place was perfect for our few day stay in San Diego! The neighborhood was gorgeous and very dog friendly. Highly recommend for a San Diego stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a long weekend at Ricardo's place. The location is fantastic, just close enough to the beach without being in the fray of beach traffic. The private fenced in yard with the hot tub was also very nice! Kitchen was awesome and well stocked. Also, the parking was extremely nice to have, fenced in, not on the street. This is a great place, we will keep an eye out for other weekends.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful beachfront condo! We were walking distance to the beach and playgrounds, any and every dinning experience you could need was around the corner. Cool coffee shops, we even found a local art walk at the Oceanside civic center and enjoyed a stroll down to eat the best pizza I’ve ever had! Book this stay, you won’t be disappointed. Secure access, beautiful views and very roomy place to stay. The bedrooms are spread out enough with bathrooms attached that we never felt cramped or crowded

Great stay. Plenty of room for a family of four. Very clean with everything you could need. We spend a lot of time enjoying the roof top view. Loved the convenience of the beach toys locker. Enjoyed walks to Harbor Village for fish and chips and breakfast at the Stratford. Sea lions were a fun bonus. Would definitely stay again. Top notch hosts!

My partner enjoyed all the amenities and relaxing near the beach was perfect for our get away. The staff was friendly and showed us great stores and restaurants to go to. Would definitely book again.

The location was great, close to many restaurants and shops, great ocean breeze, great ocean view from the room, beautiful grounds, and 5 minutes from my sons house on Camp Pendleton!

Joseph is a great host and the place truly is a tropical paradise with easy access to the beach & downtown Oceanside in walking distance (.5 mi). The property does feel like a hotel but having an “adults only” hot tub is nice to get away from children if you’re wanting that. My friends and I walked to local restaurants and coffee shops each day. The place is very clean and he’s got pretty much everything you could need include extra fans and sound machines if you need some white noise to sleep, which I do so I was pleasantly surprised! Will stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

the location of this property is magnificent, Just being able to hear the waves at night was soothing . Worth every dollar I say ! , Walking distance to the harbor and pier, assigned parking,The beach is very close , My family enjoyed Oceanside and the property, clean and spacious. Restaurants and shops throughout our walks on the beach , would highly recommend.

We love the location and amenities at Paul’s place. Very quiet unit and lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful surroundings. A new hot tub opened by the pool during our stay which was wonderful!

my daughter and I stayed at Susie and Britt's poolhouse for 6 nights when we were in the San Diego area for a wedding. At first we thought we would look for a beach rental but then heard that it can be foggy on the coast during May and June and going 5 miles inland can make a big difference with weather. we looked in Rancho Sante Fe because that we where the wedding venue was located and we really hit the jackpot! Everything is just as described- very relaxing times in the jacuzzi and by the fire pit in the evenings. The travel to the surrounding SanDiego sights was super easy. Highly recommend this rental!!!

Ms.Sandy provided a very welcoming AirBnB rental to relax and decompress in. From her initial inactions, she was extremely helpful with detailed instructions and helpful suggestions. As a bonus, the HOA also offered recommendations on places locally to dine at and entertainment. It’s the combination of these two that make for an enjoyable experience. Ms. Sandy’s place is clean and features 2 smart tvs for your entertainment pleasure. Just remember to log out of your streaming service before checking out. If you need a bit of fresh air, the beach is close by, along with the harbor with eateries and entertainment. Or just walk around the compound and enjoy the various water features and koi pond. For you golfers, bring your putter and enjoy the putting green. There’s also a swimming pool and gym, however the beach is just minutes away. You can definitely put your trust in Ms. Sandy for a very enjoyable experience.

Rarely do we ever return to a place we've stayed at before because we just want to make new memories and be open to new things. This place has been the exception, we couldn't wait to come back! We stayed at the Blue Ocean Cottage in May of 2024 and had such a great time that we did it again May of 2025! The proximity to the beach, the village and the quiet neighborhood can't be beat. This has been the perfect place for our family to spend time together, making dinner and playing games. Beach is so close, it's easy to pop over anytime. Grandparents (my wife and I) loved the cottage out back where we could have some quiet time to ourselves. The kids (twenty somethings) and grandchild equally enjoyed have their "own" space in the main house. Property is only 15 minutes from Oceanside harbor where we went on a whale/dolphin watch, which I can't recommend enough. It's about 10 minute drive to Legoland with traffic. Wonderful family memories at the Blue Ocean Cottage!

Even better than it was in past visits! Property Mgr is available directly for any issues and very proactive. Great location within steps of so much in town, yet off the path to prevent noise or crowd pollution. Privacy gates to separate you from other units. Beautiful view of the ocean and sunset from the patio. I go here to retreat from the world for a moment and it never disappoints. Kitchen has the needed essentials and the full size shampoo/conditioner/body wash was appreciated. This visit the TV next door could be heard at night, but that's not been the experience before so might have just been the renters. Thankfully they turned it off by 9-10 though. 100% will be back to this property.

Kelley was a very attentive and generous host! The space was spectacular. The view was so healing and surreal to wake up to every day. I loved the layout of the house also. It's an open concept so the family members were able to hangout in their own area while still being together. The neighborhood also had great places to eat and walkable to the Pier! Don't look anymore and book!

This rental was really beautiful and well taken care of. It is evident that Wyatt was very intentional about the amenities in the home - from the child gate at the top of the stairs to the beach equipment he left available to use. We felt very comfortable and loved how close we were to the beach and to the shops in Carlsbad. Wyatt is also super responsive. Definitely an excellent experience deserving of 5 stars!

From the cool breezes to the sounds of the ocean, from the ocean views to the relaxing atmosphere on the balcony and in the condo, this was a perfect place to be. The decor was wonderful, the home was well stocked and was so clean. The grounds of the property were lovely, such beautiful flowers and foliage everywhere. Dan and Ari were wonderful. They responded quickly to any question we had, and they went far above and beyond to make this a wonderful home away from home.

This place is SUCH a gem and I can't say enough good things. When I travel I love to feel like a local, immerse myself into the community and really get a sense of where I'm visiting. This beautiful little cottage with all of it's character and charm allowed me to do just that. The neighbors are so kind and welcoming, the home was pristine and has all the amenities as described, the view took my breath away literally - so amazing. Within walking distance of restaurants, entertainment, the beach. Jason and Nicole were so responsive and went out of their way to provide a wide variety of recommendations in the area. I can't wait to visit again!

Had the BEST time at chestnut by the Sea. The house is so well thought out the beds are incredibly comfortable, everything is exactly like the pics. We used every space and felt right at home. Having the sauna and hot tub makes you feel like you’re at a resort. Also the out door kitchen and fire pit were a perfect place to hang at sunset into the evening. This was a girls trip, but I would absolutely go back with my family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
