Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Sean's cottage is an absolute delight, we moved in as though it was our own home. Worth reading previous reviews mentioning building works next door. As we were prepared for this (they started 8am promptly Mon-Fri), also ants (which didn't show up) and the racoon in the bins (which did show up) none of this was an issue, and was reflected in the reduced rental. Sean was an excellent host, replied speedily to any queries, including calling a plumber for a minor problem. The cottage is the most homely of places, there's everything you could need, the kitchen is generously equipped and the beds are very comfortable. The pretty patio is full of flowers and birds. Since it was April, we were not outside in the evenings, but it seems noise is an issue with neighbours. There are polite but firm notices requesting no outside noise after 9pm which could be difficult on hot summer evenings. This was one of our favourite Airbnbs, the location is fabulous, so much to do, we were busy all the time

we loved staying here! everything was in excellent condition and looked exactly like the photos, plus you can’t beat the location! the beach was right across the street and walking distance to coffee, shops, food, etc. evan was super responsive and gave very clear, easy to follow instructions for check-in and check-out. highly recommend for your next beach trip!! ☀️

Great place to stay - nice walks along the coast and just a few miles from Cannery Row. The place was very clean and has you feeling just like home. Would love to stay again in the future.

Our family had a wonderful time soaking in the spectacular mountain views and embracing nature’s beauty. We loved our unexpected encounters with the local deer family, watching quail cross the streets, and discovering fascinating California native plants. Surprise to find items we need in the pantry and refrigerator, made us feel right at home. The comfortable mattresses and bedding ensured a restful sleep, even with the mysterious sounds of the wild surrounding the house at night. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Our stay was wonderful. Our two girls especially did not want to leave. Everything was so comfortable and clean, we loved the toys and books, and the projector set up. The architecture and remodeling was beautiful. Appreciate the lack of tacky artwork on the walls. Tracie and Dave were such generous hosts. Hope to be back, thank you!

The house was perfect for 3 guys for a pebble beach golf trip. Carolyn was proactive and very helpful, and the house was clean and cozy! Please go to Mezzaluna if you stay!

It was beautiful, private, and a hidden gem! We had lots of fun and enjoyed all the views throughout the house. The house is even better than the pictures. We had our 2 boys, had plenty to do between the beach, books, basketball, spa, ping pong, and games! We definitely recommend and would go back! Not to mention I love artichokes and this house is located in artichoke city!! So amazing!! 10/10 you won’t be disappointed!

Matthew was incredibly responsive and accommodating. The space itself was very clean and in a peaceful location, with some great hiking trails nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay. It is clean and in a quiet area but walkable to stores and restaurants. Loved having 2 king beds and 2 bathrooms and dedicated parking spots. Would definitely stay again.

This spot was great for a weekend getaway! Right at the start of Lighthouse Ave where all the shops and restaurants are located. We were able to walk to the beach as well which was lovely. My partner and I felt extremely safe walking around at night as well. The space was very clean and cozy. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Monterey area. We’ll definitely be back as well:)

We have stayed at many beach hotels and apartments and this may have been the best. Beautiful view of the beach, which is pretty quiet. And you can walk on the beach for a couple of hours in either direction. Also really enjoyed the location in Watsonville, which is the strawberry capital of the US. And nice to have Monterey and Santa Cruz nearby. Communicaiton with Pajaro Dunes was very good and helpful. Look forward to coming back.

I had a wonderful stay, Jeff was so helpful arranging a last-minute trip and was a fantastic host. The studio was very quiet and peaceful and I enjoyed spending time on the patio in the back. It was a great place to spend some time in the Carmel area.

We love staying here to visit our daughter. The neighborhood is charming and super quiet! The place is spacious, comfortable and very clean! We keep coming back to this place when we are in town! This place feels like a second home to us!

Perfect location, nice layout inside, Junipero St north of 5th has easy overnight parking and there is 10min parking around the corner. The staff and food at Toro sushi downstairs are wonderful. Sound travels within and to/from outside the place but it was quiet and peaceful at night. It can get both chilly and hot in the place but there are extra heaters and blankets and a nice ocean breeze with the door open.

This house was a beautiful and it provides easy access to everything that Pacific Grove and Monterrey had to offer. When you walked into the house, it felt like home. Most importantly, Jane was the perfect host. She is always available to make your stay enjoyable. Everything we needed was there. I love sitting in the living room sofa and enjoying the great views. I loved the outside fire pit for those cold days when you wanted to sit and watch the world go by and to watch the seals sleeping across the street. You could not do any better than this place. My family and I had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean and well-maintained, which made it feel welcoming and comfortable. The view was absolutely stunning and added a special touch to the experience. On top of that, the host was outstanding—extremely responsive and genuinely committed to ensuring a great stay. They went above and beyond to accommodate any needs, which made everything seamless. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful spot. Quality home in a beautiful location. Very peaceful beach - great for families. We made a fire on the beach for s'mores. The pool/spa was busy but well maintained.

Great View and Weather!

A minor issue with our original reservation was quickly resolved by the PowerWest Team. They responded immediately and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and had a perfect trip. The unit is a beautiful, well equipped condo with spectacular ocean front views. We will definitely visit again and stay with PowerWest.

The home is large with many decks for enjoying the beautiful mountain top views. We were in town for a wedding and had 7 people in our group: 2 couples and 3 singles. The sleeping and bathrooms worked out great and included using the Murphy bed in the large living room and the guesthouse. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, knives, flatware… everything you need. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels were nice. The home is a little dated, it’s exactly what you see in the pictures, and was a great place at a reasonable price for our large group.

Great home with gorgeous views of the redwoods!! We were all confused as to why there was no dish soap or trash bags to use, but it had everything else!!

We had an Amazing Stay! Parking was great, right in front. Loved that the pool was just steps away and ocean view & walkways only 5-10 minute walk. Playground just around the corner! Place was crispy clean with so many amenities. Loved the decor made us feel right at home. Will Definitely be returning!!
