Holiday rentals with lake access in Caroga

Where do I begin... I've stayed at numerous Airbnb properties, but this one stands out as one of the most beautiful settings I've encountered. The views of the lake are breathtaking, and having direct access to it was a huge bonus. We made full use of the canoes and kayaks provided, enjoying them every day. My husband, an avid fisherman, was thrilled with the lake, calling it one of the best freshwater fishing spots he's ever visited. The grounds are impeccably maintained and offer plenty of privacy. Inside, the house is both comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the pots, pans, utensils, and small appliances you could need. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the linens are of high quality. The furniture is tasteful and inviting. Karen was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and responsive. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend this place without hesitation.

This place is such a gem! They thought of everything and so many special touches. We stayed here after taking the boys to Cooperstown for baseball and it did not disappoint. We hope to come again!

Our family was there for a baseball tournament. The home is 15 minutes away, easy to get to. Grocery stores, restaurants, ice cream (recommend Jerry’s on the way to Cooperstown) and tackle and bait store are all close by. The rooms are very comfortable, I worked from the loft on top floor, the kitchen well equipped and the lake right outside. The kids had the opportunity to kayak and paddle board and to fish from the dock. Rodney was very responsive and super helpful to ensure we were comfortable and answered questions quickly. The view on the lake is fantastic and peaceful.

The place is beautiful and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be going back.

Thoroughly enjoyed it perfect thank you so much for the extras that hardly any Airbnb provides! My husband says thank you so much for all the wood you provided it saved him from hauling it. We left our kayaks in North Carolina because they would make too much noise however we were surprised to find kayaks and fishing poles available for renters! You really should put that in your ad, may have been the decision point that we would’ve chosen for you It would be nice if all Airbnb were as accommodating as you guys were . based on the extras ! Hopefully nobody in the future takes advantage of you.

Thanks Matt for hosting us. The Airbnb was located in a beautiful location with the lake just directly opposite. It was also a comfortably short drive to Saratoga. Matt’s place was clean and beautiful and exactly as described. Matt was also extremely communicative throughout our stay. Thanks again!

Beautiful, lakefront home! All the amenities you would ever expect and more. Allie proactively communicated and the instructions were clear and informative. My family and I especially enjoyed all the outdoor areas-- the porch, fireplace and lake front.

Wonderful retreat in a beautiful location. The unit was impeccable, attractive, and nicely furnished as part of the owner’s own home. We host our own personal family cabin as a vrbo and were so pleased to receive the same kind of quality and personal care that we offer to our guests. Lynne’s home exudes pride of ownership and special touches (snacks and one very nice breakfast with hosts) were offered to us. I’m their first guest who is vegan; Lynne went above and beyond to make me a tasty oatmeal breakfast. Can’t give enough stars to rate this very attractive, yet affordable, rental unit. Highly recommend. Thank you, Lynne and John, for your gracious hospitality!

It was a perfect place for 2. The home was beautiful inside and out. The property was well maintained and attractive. The setting was stunning. Having kayaks available was a bonus. Inside, nothing was missed. Communication was clear and simple; they offered good suggestions on restaurants and places to visit. Would definitely return!

We had a lovely stay at Alexandra’s apartment. The design was cozy and lovely with eclectic artwork tastefully displayed throughout. The fridge was well stocked with a variety of complimentary beverages, as well as a large variety of coffee and tea available. We had everything we needed and the bed and furniture were very comfortable. She was kind, welcoming and helpful. We would definitely come back!

Tracy was a great host and very communicative! If we are ever in the area again we’d love to book with her again.

Beautiful stay for our last night cycling the Erie Canal Trail. The home was easy to find on bicycle, despite the road being a bit hectic, there is a wide shoulder. The water frontage makes this stay extra special. Everything inside was perfect and Beth is exceptionally responsive!

We love staying here and have for years. It’s one of the best getaway spots in the ADK. Sandy is Ana amazing host, too. We will be back!

This is a great place for vacation stay - clean and well maintained. Close to a lot of places, attractions, malls, and a variety of restaurants in the area. Joe is a great host - helped us with check in and made sure we are comfortable. We highly recommend!

We had another great stay at David and Kristine’s Lake House! The house is very cozy and has everything you need for a great vacation. We love waking up and seeing the lake. We especially enjoy the winter time seeing the snow in the frozen lake and the evergreen trees with the snow on their branches. The location is prefect, close to restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities. This was our second time at the lake house and we are hoping to make it a yearly tradition. David and Kristine are great hosts! They respond immediately to any communication and left plenty of great information inside the house. I cannot say enough good things about David, Kristine, and their Lake House!

This is a place you would want to come back over and over again. So serene and relaxing place, Perfect for the whole family!The moment you walk in ,you will fall in love with it. Everything is clean too! I love that it is pet friendly. There’s even treats for our dog and some freebies for us. Little things matter!Thank you Astrid for sharing your home with us!

This was the perfect place to get away and make lasting memories with my best friend who’s getting married. We loved how close it was to everything and the food at the garrison was great. We were able to relax, play games uninterrupted and enjoy life story’s. I highly recommend this location!

My family had a great time staying at Jennifer’s place. The house was stocked with towels, linens, blankets, and just about anything you forgot to bring from home (face wash, shampoo, dish washing pods, etc.) The backyard was a perfect combination of security (the fenced in yard for our pups) and serenity to unwind and enjoy the fire with family and friend. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

The house was absolutely perfect and was exactly as advertised. Catherine did an amazing job with all the personal touches to the house that made us feel right at home and was super responsive. We would definitely rent her place again. Thank you!!!

Hands down one of the best airbnb stays and hosts! Wanted to spend my husband’s birthday at the Buddy shack and happened to mention that to Brandon before the stay. When we checked in, baked chocolate cake, ice cream, a gift bag, a birthday card and a beautiful handwritten note were waiting for us. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe this gesture! And there are thoughtful touches around the house that made us feel right at home. Communication was excellent. Felt like I was chatting with a friend. Tried two restaurants that they recommended and both could give the NYC restaurants a run for their money! The property is beautiful. Enjoyed excellent weather and quiet time by the lake. Overall, I highly recommend the Buddy Shack. You will return with wonderful memories and a full heart!

My family loved how peaceful and calm everything was. Took this weekend getaway to get the kids away from electronics and the hype of NYC and it was a blast. The kids were loving the grass, the playground, the fire pit, we went down to the lake, played board games, mini golf it was amazing. I really enjoyed the stay and the host was very responsive even at 11pm. She was transparent and clear with instructions. Little town was great as well, did some Railroad Biking, lots of little things to do within 30 min drive.

Robins place was just as described. Stunning. Right on the Hudson RiverWe got to see lots of boats of all kinds and the weather couldn’t have been better The place was very clean. Robin responded quickly to anything. I would definitely recommend this place
