Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Cascais

We just finished a fabulous five night stay and highly recommend. Gui greeted us upon arrival and walked us through the home. It is a historic home so there are some quirks, though nothing crazy. The house was a perfect size for our party of 8 (ages 12-70). The location absolutely cannot be beat - we never walked more than 15 minutes to get anywhere we wanted to go which was much appreciated at the end of the night! There is noise as the home is centrally located but that is a worthwhile trade off for the location. Washer (line dry) worked well and there were umbrellas, towels, sand toys, etc for the beach. We did not cook at the house so cannot provide a review but kitchen was spacious and well stocked. There is only AC in two of the rooms but there are shutters that help keep the heat of the day out and there were two fans available as well. Especially for the price and location, this is a great home for a large group.

I rented this house for my parents when they were in town for a visit -- it's a great space with an amazing view and they loved it. The kitchen and dining area was great to join them for dinner and if we had planned ahead more we definitely would've taken advantage of the bbq grill in the garden!

We had a wonderful stay at Carlos’s place! The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Carlos was a thoughtful and responsive host, and we especially appreciated the lovely fruit basket waiting for us when we arrived such a kind and welcoming touch. Ahhhh, the location! You won't believe it when you realize where your rental is! Patricia's home is in the heart of Cascais---walkable to absolutely everything AND you have ocean views! Downstairs is a comfortable living area and kitchen, enormous beautiful ensuite bedroom on the second floor, and two lovely bedrooms and a bathroom on the third floor. Yes, the stairs are steep, but they add to the charm and the multiple floors offer so much privacy. Everything was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Our family of five was in absolute heaven in this place. This was our first stop in Portugal and, Patricia and Cascais, you made us fall in love from the very beginning. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us.

We had a wonderful stay! Our main goal was to unwind and spend quality time with our small child, so having our own space and a kid-friendly environment was really important to us — and this place delivered perfectly. The home was well set up for families, and our host went above and beyond by providing extra amenities like a high chair and baby bed, which made our stay even more comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully arranged to make traveling with a little one easy. All in all, a fantastic spot for a relaxing family vacation!

Our stay here was wonderful! This apartment is the perfect location, less than 5 minute walk to shops, delicious restaurants, and the beach. Also, Luis was so responsive and helpful every step of the way. Would highly recommend this clean and spacious apartment to anyone. 10/10.

We loved everything about Teresa’s place in Cascais! We were 6 and could not be happier with our choice. The apartment is beautiful, the view is amazing, the location is fantastic and we felt very comfortable. Besides all that Teresa and Brian were perfect as hosts, very responsive, kind and proactive. Marie’s apartment in Cascais was fantastic! The location was great—close to everything but in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The place was super clean and well taken care of. The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless, the beds were really comfortable, and the living and dining spaces were cozy and nicely decorated. One of my favorite parts was having coffee on the couch with the windows open each morning. There are so many windows, and with the fresh air and sunlight pouring in, the whole place felt bright and relaxing. I’d definitely recommend staying here, and I’d book it again in a heartbeat if I’m ever back in Cascais.

Ana was the perfect hostess. She was quick to reply for any questions. She met us at the apartment and oriented us. She gave is a local map and wrote the places we were interested in on the map for reference later in our stay. The apartment had everything we could possibly need down to small details like a sewing kits and games. The location of the apartment was perfect; in the historic and popular “old town”, and yet located in a quiet zone so we could sleep peacefully at night. Having such a comfortable place to stay really made our holiday in Cascais extra special.

This is our second time staying in Rui's place over the past year. Would highly recommend to anybody traveling to Cascais as a better option than the local hotels. It is located in a very charming and quiet part of the historic town. Very easy walk to restaurants, shops and the beach. Thanks Rui !!!!

Maria was a responsive friendly host and has a beautiful spacious 2 bedroom appartment situated about a 15 min walk downhill to both the Marina & town of Cascais. The walk back up is very manageable unless you have mobility issues but there are scooters you can hire if you wish. It comes with an underground car park space too. Showers and all facilities worked fine and the TV is a Smart TV so you can access Netflix, Youtube etc. We found the Pool area to be lovely but not used much at all. There -are 2 supermarkets nearby -the smaller & closer one (5 mins away opens 8-8pm apart from Sund (8-1pm). Cascais is sublime -sandy clean beaches, great restaurants (try the Marina area too) and friendly people. It has a lovely vibe, If staying here -Sintra is a must (but book Palace beforehand) & Lisbon is worth a visit (1 day is plenty -go by Uber (€15) & return by Train (€5)) . Loads of great golf in the area too.

Daniel is an incredible host! We arrived very late in the evening and he was so kind to meet us at that hour to show us all the amazing features of the home. His home is gorgeous! We made great use of the gym, sauna, hot tub and cold plunge, which is as an extra special highlight! City center and restaurants are a short drive away. Daniel’s restaurant recommendations were very helpful. Would absolutely stay again if we are ever in Portugal again. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful.

We had a lovely stay here, the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. August and Teresa were fantastic hosts making sure we were okay and gave us recommendations. The pool was a real bonus, especially on warm days and when the beaches were busy. It’s also in a great location for exploring the area, with easy access to both Lisbon and Cascais. Would happily recommend!

João and Raquel were great hosts! The apartment was super nice and the checkin and checkout process was easy.

Maria was the best host and offered exceptional hospitality during check-in with an infant. The place was walking distance to a nearby center with food and 20 minutes from the main center that home was clean and beautiful and we enjoyed our stay.

This was a great spot for a first visit to both Cascais & Portugal. Everything was walkable, but peaceful. Downtown Cascais (25 min walk) is pretty, but busy even in late May so (boring that I am) I was glad to be farther away. The winner was the green view from the balcony every morning with coffee. The swing chair was a big hit with the teenage kids. The other winner is the ocean side walk nearby...straight to Cascais or minutes to Giua cafes & restaurants which offer some extraordinary outdoor eating venues ($$). Also Cafe Ophelia nearby was sweet. The green space out back & the pool will no doubt work well for younger kids. Maria was a very friendly & engaged host. Tip: Lidl grocery store is an easy 8 min walk & carries a surprising array of good quality, cheap fresh baked breads & sweet pastries.

This is a lovely well equipped 2 bed apartment in the Bairro do Rosario suburb of Cascais. Communication with the host was excellent and the garden and pool area are a real bonus. It is a 15 min walk to de Inferno and a good 35 min walk into the centre of Cascais. However there are bus stops close by to the apartment which have regular timetables. There are a number of lovely restaurants close by at Casa de Guia, and the Ophelia cafe on the next street is lovely for breakfast whilst the sacolinha bakery at the end of the street is excellent. The small supermarket at the end of the street is good for small amounts, the large Pingo Doce 5 mins walk away has a much larger selection. A very relaxing stay
