House holiday rentals in Castlebar

The townhouse is in a perfect area of Belmullet. It is very close to a grocery store, pharmacy, church, pubs and restaurants. There are plenty of on street parking spaces nearby. We usually parked right outside of front door. The property was maintained very well. Martina always responded within minutes to our questions. As we were packing our car, we met James who was very friendly and helpful. we will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Belmullet.

Our stay at River Cottage felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like stepping into Anna and Luke’s thoughtfully curated retreat. Nestled beside a usually gentle stream, the cottage offered a rare kind of quiet. We found ourselves unwinding in ways we hadn’t expected. As if the place itself were helping us silence the usual rush of thoughts. The sauna and cold plunge, discreetly positioned at the water’s edge, added a touch of simple luxury. They blended seamlessly into the natural surroundings rather than standing out as flashy extras, even when lit up at night. We explored the surrounding area by car and found Sligo to be the perfect complement to the cottage’s peaceful seclusion. My wife and I already feel drawn back to this little slice of Ireland - eager for another chance to recharge in the calm that Anna and Luke have created. We’re also looking forward to seeing their next ideas come to life.

Very comfortable house in a quiet but convenient & accessible location. Billy & Orlaigh made us very welcome & went out of their way to ensure our stay was exceptional. The house is spacious & the beds comfortable. It would be a pleasure to return here.

We really enjoyed our stay at David's Holiday Home on the Kilronan Castle Estate. The location proved convenient for day trips to Co. Donegal, Co. Galway, and especially Co. Sligo (which was one of our favorites!). The unit had everything we needed for our family of 4 (including 2 teens) to spread out and enjoy, prepare meals, and even do laundry (we stayed there during the middle of a multi-week trip to UK & Ireland.) Everything was as described in the place- and, importantly, the beds were comfortable. My family enjoyed exploring the castle grounds, while I (Sean's wife) splurged for a wonderful massage and Thermal Suite at the Spa. Hubby & I also enjoyed a Guinness in the castle Dungeon Bar a couple of nights during our stay. Check-in & other instructions were clear and easy to follow. David was prompt in following up with any questions we had. We would happily stay again and/ or recommend to others.

We loved our stay in Vincent’s cottage. It’s so cost and Vincent was such a nice man. He helped us with a special request. I’d recommend this lovely cottage to anyone. It’s so warm, clean and has everything you could want. 🥰

Very private, quaint property in the countryside. Very clean and well kitted out. I loved that there was no TV. Excellent WiFi however, so all your streaming services will work on your devices. Myself and my family stayed for my mum’s 60th birthday and we all had a fantastic time. The house was perfect for a group with plenty of space. The kitchen was great for cooking. Clean and tidy. It’s in a lovely setting and very peaceful. Michelle was so helpful and attentive. Very responsive and great instructions. Even left a small welcome basket and a birthday card for my mum!! We had a fantastic time here and cannot recommend enough.

The cottage is in a small village with a few houses around . Very quiet but you do need a car to get anywhere . House was clean and tidy but there was a damp smell on entering g the property . The windows had been left open to alleviate this I think . Once we had had the heating on for a little while we didn’t smell it again . The welcome gifts were helpful with milk , butter eggs and bread and several other things too. Nice comfortable bed .

a lovely place to be in. Just home from home. everything you needed is there. very clean place. location is great walkable to shops. lots of restaurants & take away to choose from. we definitely will stay in Diarmúid place again. A great host. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As we drove up the drive way to the air BnB, the lovely host was waiting and escorted us into the house. We arrived to find a beautiful warm home with an already lit waiting fire, the host Catherine explained all the points of the home which was warm well appointed and nice. We chatted and she gave us some exceptional advice on what to see and where best to go. The farm the house is situated on has donkeys (that my daughter discovered love apples) cows and a horse. There was also a lovely dog that was very affectionate. Every day Catherine laid a new fire for our return from what ever we had been doing. I honestly can’t fault the warm home and welcoming nature of the host. 100% would recommend.

Our family absolutely loved staying in Finbarr’s place. The building was unique and full of history-which our history loving family appreciated. It sparked conversations about what we thought it was like when it was a granary, or the cattle shed, or the fisherman’s cottage. We felt in awe of the history we were sharing for such a brief time. We will definitely be back if ever we get ‘round to Foxford again!

Amazing location (if you like solitude). Beaches right there! Wonderful megalithic sites nearby. Horses to pet. All amenities you could want. Had a blast cooking in the wonderful kitchen. Weather was AMAZING. We had some downtime at the beach and watched beautiful sunset which was recommended by our host! We HIGHLY recommend this place. We were sad to leave it.

A very enjoyable stay. Clean and comfortable accommodation, the beds were incredibly comfy. Michael was very responsive and helpful. a great base to explore the surrounding areas.

Evelyn’s house was beautiful and we had such a cosy stay for my family and I as we were visiting Westport for my Mam’s 60th! Everything you need is in the house! A relaxing stay and a very clean house , conveniently located 5 minutes drive from Westport!

This house was wonderful and so well-appointed. You really only need to bring yourself and your clothes! Westport and Newport are both in close (driving) proximity. Paula is a wonderful host!

Jimmy's place couldn't have been better for our family reunion. The house was immaculate and really spacious for the kids to run around with a lovely big garden. The house has absolutely everything you could need on a trip away with kids, we had a lovely cozy fire one evening after a day at the beach. The house was lovely and warm and the beds were really comfy. Its in a great location just a couple minutes drive from Westport. Jimmy recommended a lovely hotel walking distance from the house that had really friendly staff and locals that made us feel really welcome. Jimmy was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish, he couldn't have been more helpful and had some great recommendations for our trip. I would highly recommend Jimmy's place it was great value for money and overall just a lovely base. The kids didn't want to leave, thank you so much for having us and we will definitely be back again next year.

Tom Jacks is in a stunning, peaceful, location with beautiful coastal views. We even spotted Dolphins, whilst eating breakfast outside! The decking area is spacious and comfortable outdoor furniture is provided,along with a BBQ. Inside, the house is very clean and quite spacious, with a log burner for cosy evenings. (Plenty of logs provided) The house is well situated for drives to the local beaches and surrounding area. Letterfrack has a good supermarket. We wouldn’t hesitate in returning in the future.

This was one of our favorites on the trip. The layout of the house is pleasing, with plenty of space to open large luggage. Comfortable furniture. Lovely vanity in the master bedroom. We slept well on the quality mattresses. The setting is quiet, with some sweet sheep sounds to put you to sleep. While rural, it's only about 15 minutes to Westport and beyond for sightseeing, restaurants, and shopping.

J'ai adoré discuter avec elle même si mon anglais n'est pas parfait, Pauline sait prendre le temps de nous écouter ! La maison est grande et parfaite pour un repos au calme et aussi pour prendre l'apéro dehors lorsqu'il fait beau. Nous faisions une marche tous les soirs entre les prés et les animaux de la ferme. C'est également le lieu parfait pour découvrir le Burren, Galway, le Connemara, Achill Island ... Merci encore !
