In addition, Reserve Sportman’s Club shooting range is 1.7 miles (road travel) from the cabin. If needed, there is plenty of space on the property to shoot your bow (bring your own targets). Welcome to Stargazer Retreat, our quiet spot here in Gutierrezville, NM, about 10 miles south of Datil on Rt. 12. We are located in a 100% dark skies zone, with a light pollution rating of 0.00. On moonless nights it's very dark here, and when your eyes adjust, countless stars appear, and the milky way stretches from horizon to horizon. The perfect spot to observe, set up a telescope or some picture taking. A great spot to watch wildlife as well, or hike and bike ride. Friendly pups are welcome

The ambiance is fascinating - fabulous views through large windows across green meadows and pine forests. From 10x40 covered porch listen to the Tularosa Creek running by the cabin year-round. A great quiet get-away where you can almost touch the stars and may see elk walking outside the window. There is wildlife and nature everywhere with direct access to the Gila Wilderness.

Come Enjoy our Farmhouse! Set in the scenic Lower Frisco Valley south of Reserve you can enjoy the beautiful Gila National Forest and still be close to town and all its charming amenities. Our 2 bedroom 1 bath guesthouse is located on our working farm. Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch and breath in the fresh air and the green fields surrounding you. Catch a glimpse of grazing horses, sheep, and chickens. While we obviously love animals, we do have a NO PETS policy for the farmhouse.

Shekinah Hermitage: Peace at the Forest’s Edge

Shekinah Hermitage is set high at the edge of the Cibola National Forest. This unique structure looks into a canyon to the north, and over the San Agustin Plains to the East. Surrounded by juniper and pinion trees, it is very remote. Windows on all sides gives the feel of being outdoors but the solid structure is immovable in high winds. Inside is all you need including low grade solar electricity. There is an attached bathroom with a sawdust toilet. Outside a high deck offers stunning views.

Very stylish tiny home with all the conveniences.... nice open floor plan, upgraded full kitchen and walk in shower. Spend the evening barbequing and taking in the scenic wildlife.
