Holiday rentals with lake access in Cecil County

The house was beautifull, the location was perfect. close to everything but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. You could sit on the deck and enjoy the water with no road noise. House had plenty of rooms and two bathrooms and a very comfortable couch for naps. We look forward to our next stay!

We absolutely loved staying in this charming cottage. One of the best things Ashleigh did for us was putting us in contact with Jeff who works at the attached winery. Jeff and his crew were outstanding. We were hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for 15 people. They allowed us to borrow a banquet table as well as some extra chairs. We also ordered our dinner from the connecting restaurant. It was absolutely delicious as well as coming warm and ready to serve. Jeff and his crew also delivered and picked up the table and chairs as well as blowing leaves for us to play some lawn games. Unfortunately, it rained :( Ashleigh was very responsive and timely, but as Jeff was on site, he and his crew took care of all our requests. We look very forward to planning another event at this location and hopefully renting the larger home this time in the summer. Thank you, Donna and John

Was a perfect family retreat while visiting our kids at UD. We were able to cook together in well stocked kitchen, enjoy beautiful lake views, sunsets, kayak and relax around campfire. Hope to be back soon.

Amy's house is lovely. It is clean, comfortable and spacious. It is also a 2 minute walk to downtown Port Deposit to eat, see live music or stroll along the river. Amy was a great host, communicative and helpful. When we come back, we will look to see if Amy's house is available first.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Morgan’s beautiful home. The photos do not do it justice. We had full use of the first floor which included a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom and super comfortable bedroom. An awesome outdoor space was available as well, complete with a fire pit, that we regrettably did not have time to enjoy. Morgan was the perfect host and I cannot recommend this place enough. We will definitely book again when in the area.

We had a delightful stay at this beautiful home! The furnishings were gorgeous and the views of the river outside at sunset were breathtaking. We loved taking the kayaks and paddleboards out from the private dock. Our group including kiddos had a blast playing in the pool, and grown ups enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The host was responsive and attentive. We had a wonderful stay, would absolutely recommend to others and stay here again in the future!

AMAZING stay! Jessica was a fantastic host and her place is super clean, so peaceful, cozy and quiet. Loved waking up and having coffee with the beautiful views. Will definitely be staying again!!

WOW! My family and I cannot say enough great things about Jeanne's Airbnb already planning our next trip! First off the property is an oasis in itself with a massive deck overlooking the inlets of Chesapeake Bay we woke up every morning to a beautiful blue heron eating breakfast right on the dock, having access to kayaks to explore the waterways was a huge bonus too, not to mention the gazebo with a fire pit we enjoyed roasting marshmallows and talking about the days adventures as a family. The inside of the Airbnb is extremely well thought out with every amenitie that anyone could ever ask for, from a well stocked and equiped kitchen, to the king size master bed with luxurious soft linenes, to the heated fan that greets you after a perfect water pressure shower. Seriously, this place is perfect a hidden gem for sure with easy access to so many wonderful Maryland attractions. Can't say enough great things about this experience and Airbnb can't wait to return!

I absolutely love this place! Cindy was amazing and so helpful with everything! My husband and I fell in love with the area and the view, we are currently looking for a place of our own :-)

We loved our stay at the cottage. Everything was clean and well maintained inside and out. We especially loved the gorgeous surroundings. The property was beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed daily swims in the pool and time at the dock. Robert was a wonderful host and made everything very clear and easy as well as was easy to communicate with. We couldn't have asked for a better get away. Chestertown is adorable and fun to check out. We hope to return in the future.

Beautiful waterfront setting. Two kitchens (one in each cottage). This property lacks privacy on one side, with an open view into the neighboring yard. While there's no fence or natural barrier separating the two spaces, the neighbors appeared friendly and unconcerned about the presence of visitors. Would recommend or stay again.

Beautiful location with stunning views of the bay. Loved morning coffee on the patio, watching the sunrise and relaxing evenings in the hot tub as the sun went down. A very enjoyable weekend with the family.

I chose this home for the week of US Naval Academy Graduation. Annapolis was cost prohibitive, especially since I wanted a waterfront property. Tiffany was very helpful to me in figuring out if this property had the right number of beds and she was responsive during our stay. I loved being right on the water, with access to their dock. The home is very bright, lots of windows and decks, and with great view of the water. We stayed for a week in late May and it was a strangely cold, rainy and windy May. But, I still got out on the water with my own kayak and we sat outside whenever we could. The home has 3 bedrooms upstairs - the master with a king and a large walkin closet and bathroom. Then, a huge bedroom with 2 queens and a tiny attached room with a twin bed. Those 2 rooms shared the second upstairs bathroom. The room was so big that we comfortably used a blow up mattress on the floor rather than having a bunch of us sharing the double beds. downstairs the bedroom is a double

We were very impressed with our stay! Came for rest & reflection and found it. Very secluded and private but close to everything. The house and everything in the house were spotless and the amenities were much appreciated. Many places give you the “starter pack” like half a roll of toilet paper, etc. Not knowing what to expect, we packed everything but we really appreciated that there was enough garbage bags, paper towels, etc for our stay! Not to mention no shortage of bath towels or beach towels, kitchen was well stocked. The park being next door was awesome to walk through with the dogs. Highly recommend!

Sue and Mark made us feel like we were popping into a dear friend’s place. The property was even better than the photos with small touches and generosity around every corner—fresh cut wild flowers on the dining room table, an endless list of local recommendations with personal commentary, and in the kitchen: drawers of spices/good olive oil/access to the cute garden. We stayed for a few days but could have easily stayed for a few weeks. It’s clear Sue and Mark host because they want to extend hospitality to others, and we are extremely grateful to have received it!

This is a GORGEOUS stone exterior, wood interior cozy vacation home - literally looks like something you would see along the Mediterranean or Adriatic! STUNNING and owned by the kindest most lovely host! I have severe chemical/fragerance allergies and Kara offered to wash my towels and bedding in no-scent soap as well as remove plug-in's from the walls which was going above and beyond for my comfort. This worked moderately well but I could still smell the scents because they are made of chemicals and from what I've been told, once they are in fabric or on the walls they are there forever. Not the host's fault - just my ridiculous situation pretty much everywhere I go. If you are sensitive and very highly reactive I would make sure to bring your inhaler/allergy meds just in case. This is the PERFECT place to stay if you wish to go tubing and hiking locally, and dining in Lancaster. We do not think our car could handle the driveway in ice or snow but all other months it would be perfect!
