What's one thing you look for when you are searching for say a cottage or a cabin or a homestay? Quietness, serenity with a pinch of belonging. Property at birdwood cottages provide you just that, situated away from the hustle bustle of the city and also the crowded Mall road of Dalhousie, this place submits you to just relax. Great location, beautiful interiors, great caretakers who make great home made food of your choice. touristy spots are not too far away, ample car parking place, good wifi. The best part of the stay has to be the 2-3 km flat trail circuit in the woods to rejuvenate your mornings. i think late September to early December is the best time to enjoy the flora & fauna of this place before the snow engulfs the area.

We visited Archie's place in June '17. This place is in Barlow Ganj area of Mussorie and is secluded from the maddening crowd of Mall Road. It boasts of a breathtaking view from the sitting area and makes one feel very close to nature. The room interiors are done wonderfully and are of absolutely top-notch quality . A special mention is due here about the hosts themselves, Archie and Sanjeev. They made us feel at home and comfortable from the time we walked in and went out of their way to help us with suggestions and even transport arrangements. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to be in nature's lap and yet not comprising on luxury! All in all, a great stay.

Great area with beach, landscaping and walking paths. If you and your kids, that's it. There is a great cafe on the property. The area is quiet, green and clean, with country roads for jogging/walking. Lagoon City 11 km from the track The nearest natural landmark, Grigorievsky Gorge, is only a 40-minute drive away, as it is located right above Grigorievka. As for the property itself - everything is like in the photos, maybe even a little better. Everything you need is there. For a family of three - just fine. There have been internet outages a couple of times, but if you're there to rest instead of working, it's for you Aliman is a very friendly host. Always in touch. I was ready to help with any questions. I think we'll come again.

Our stay at Vienna Lodge was beyond wonderful—it honestly felt like coming home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, not guests. The warmth, the care, the vibe—everything was just perfect. A huge thank you to Kailash Bhaiya, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and memorable. Always smiling, always helpful, and his food? Absolutely delicious. What made it even more special was having Sanjivani Aunty, the lovely host, right there. She took care of us with so much love—whether it was arranging ghee for our baby or sending us dal from her own kitchen. She genuinely made sure we were comfortable in every way. And then there’s Matilda, their adorable dog, who became our baby’s best friend and added so much joy to our stay! Our little one had the best time playing in the garden, exploring flowers, and just soaking in the calm, cozy vibe. We left with full hearts. Vienna Lodge has become our forever favorite in Nainital, and we can’t wait to come back.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb, which was the perfect space for our young family. Our baby had plenty of room to play around, and the entire place was spotless. Ravi, the caretaker, was absolutely wonderful—he went above and beyond to take care of all our needs, running errands and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals with ease, and we loved spending time in the beautiful garden and sitting area. The big trees and serene vibe made it a truly relaxing spot. The place has two levels..The upstairs unit is ideal for couples, while the downstairs unit is perfect for families—gorgeous and spacious. The location couldn’t have been better, with plenty of great places to eat and explore nearby. Rupi is an amazing superhost, incredibly kind, with amazing communication from start to finish. She made sure we were comfortable and had everything we need. This is a must-visit spot if you’re in Dehradun.

A perfect place for long stays. Located at the perfect distance away from the main city so as to have all the facilities without all the noise and traffic. The house is nice and cozy with a fully equipped kitchen. It has a large garden with a nice desk to work on. Lots of cafes nearby. There are many interesting spots nearby for exploring, like Sethan, Jibhi, Kasol, Sissu, and more, all of which can be done as day trips. I would highly recommend this place, especially for longer stays.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Winter Terrace in Mussoorie, and it was a delightful experience. The guest house is nestled in the serene hills of Uttarakhand, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil environment. The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained, reflecting the host's attention to detail. Communication with the host was seamless; they were responsive and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out processes. The location is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, yet it's conveniently accessible to local attractions. I highly recommend Winter Terrace to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat in Mussoorie.

Green paradise in the bustle of Dehradun city! The listed host (Shivendra) aunt looked after during the entire stay. I travelled from London to Dehradun for work and stayed for a full week. Have no regrets and would definitely go back again. It's one of the best Airbnb experiences I have ever had and by far better than any hotel. Aunty is so kind and welcoming, looking after our every need, always greeting us warmly with smiles. It felt like a home away from home, with home cooked food and decorated with love. The place was actually built for family to stay and feels as such. Laundry and cleaning services are available regularly (in fact Aunty insists on this). The detached building is spacious and looks out onto it's own private outdoor patio and beyond that into the extensive gardens of the main house. It's very relaxing and a beautiful environment just 2 minutes away from ISBT. Aunty has dogs, ducks, chickens and other animal roaming about in gated gardens which makes you feel like you're staying on a thriving farm, her green fingers means that everywhere you look, even in & on the house you see plants growing - it's incredible. The plants and vegetation also provide a natural cooling effect which was very welcomed in the current heat. There is also fan, aircon, fridge and freezer available to keep things cool. There is plenty of privacy and yet if you need anything someone is always around to help. Just down the road are shops and a few restaurants if you want to go out. Mostly we stayed in, cooked and also had aunty' s food nearly every day. if you have any issues or there are small hiccups (such as electricity or water outage) aunty gets it fixed very quickly and issues are very rare in the first instance. There is never any need to worry. Definitely book and give it a try - you won't find better accommodation in Dehradun or kinder hosts. I have taken some inspiration on green/natural decorations home with me and am planning to give it a try! As a female I'd also feel very safe staying here if on my own.

Everything is great. Clean, modern, spacious, beautiful garden. Very hospitable and pleasant hosts. The location is good, but you need to be attentive initially because the navigation and the real address are a little different, I had to look. Otherwise a wonderful stay. Stayed alone, but I recommend it for families and small groups, there is enough space for 3-4 people available.
