Kate's place was a fabulous place to stay with my doggo. One of the most generously well-equipped kitchen's I've experienced, super comfortable beds, warm and homely and a stunning view across the lake! Kate is a wonderfully warm and kind host, easy and responsive communication. I highly recommend Kate's place and will definitely stay again.

GORGEOUS!!! What a little gem this place is. So homely and with great space. Brilliant deck for the dogs to be secure on and plenty of “backyard” to stretch the legs in. Close enough to walk down to the pub for a meal which was an added bonus

We loved staying here and were sad to leave after only 1 night! It was super cosy and beds were comfortable. The house had everything and was really well equipped - one of the best stocked we’ve ever stayed in. Marshmallows for the fire were a really nice touch (our 3 year old’s favourite food!). Lots of wildlife we spotted around the house (sadly no sighting of the resident wombat though). We’d love to come back here again and stay longer some time :)

Thank you very much for the stay at rock bottom the boys and I had a top shelf time caught plenty of trout drank to many beers though lol We will be coming to stay in the future

Kath was very accommodating with our stay in Poatina. We had a great time and communication around the booking was excellent.

What a beautiful comfortable home in a majestic landscape. We loved our three night stay. Highly recommended (and we don't even fish). 😃😃

Casey’s home was clean and very comfortable. Great pot belly to warm our chilly nights and a generous supply of wood. Beds and pillows were warm and super comfy. Kitchen was well supplied for cooking and a great coffee machine. We loved everything about our stay. Only thing I would say is to be cautious driving out the property gate, as large logging trucks travel past very fast. Great location so close to the Mt Field park entrance.

Perfect for an off the grid vacation. Thomas was kind enough to warm up the place prior to arrival and prepared some bread and wine. Good communication, explaining how the power source works since we visited during winter. Rest of amenities as listed on post. Thanks again mate

We had a most wonderful time at this obviously-loved cottage. Plenty to do even if you're not into fishing. We cycled, and kayaked and walked and explored the stunning area. And relaxed with a red wine in front of the fire. Perfectly clean, comfortable and homely and we can't wait to book our next trip

The most beautiful cottage with everything thought of for guests and the minute you walk into the cottage, it feels fabulous. Beautiful food basket, bottle of wine, fresh milk, bread, jams…. heaters through out the cottage, bath robes, comfy slippers and very comfortable bed! We’ll be back!

Perfect option for any group wanting to explore the Derwent Bridge and Lake St Clare region. Our group of seven were out in the wilderness over four days. The Rustic Lodge was the perfect way to end the trip. Loved everything about this place. Nothing is overlooked. Space, warmth, comfort and generous hospitality in every way. Thank you Lucas.
