- We will meet at the yacht, get everyone comfortable and review safety equipment and procedures. Next, we will depart and hoist the sails! Guests may participate as much or as little as they want. Once sailing, guests will be able to relax and enjoy the experience or help trim the sails. The quiet of sailing will enhance views of the city, the floating bridge, waterfront homes and beaches from the boat, along with possible wildlife sightings. Options to take a swim in Okanagan Lake or stop at a secluded beach are dependent on tour selection. We will then make our way back to the dock with smiles all around. - Your utterly unique Okanagan Valley day adventure – float, hikes, sip and swim! Float the Channel in a life vest; Beacon Hike with fabulous eastwards lake views; delicious deli lunch, hike the iconic KVR Trail visiting several great wineries and cool off at Three Mile Beach. Our first adventure; on Penticton’s River Channel. Not the traditional “floaties” but we float the swifter upper 2km’s in life vests. Nobody else does this. A nice walk back along the channel to tidy up. Next, a 3km return hike higher up on Penticton's West Bench, for fabulous views overlooking the lake, city and valley to the east and south. Now you'll appreciate a great lunch at a local specialty diners. Then shuttle to our hike through the silt cliffs to the iconic KVR (Kettle Valley Railway) Trail. - We'll depart from my headquarters in my vehicle and visit 3 estate wineries beginning with Howling Bluff Vineyards then Therapy Vineyards and finally Da Silva Vineyards. At our first stop, we’ll meet the folks that grow the grapes and discover how 'quality starts in the vineyard' with an in-depth discussion about sustainable farming practices. At the next stop, my guests get to see 'behind the curtain', as a winemaker will lead the group through what it takes make top tier wine. At this stage, we'll participate in hands-on activities with winery personnel, giving the guest an authentic and unique memory. At each winery, we'll bypass the lineups, taste the wines being produced and enjoy an opportunity to purchase wines seldom available to the general public. At our final stop, my guests will take a deep dive into the local history with a look at a multigenerational operation at Da Silva Vineyards. As the tour concludes, participants have the option of dining in the Kitchen, part of the Da Silva winery compound. - We'll meet the animals in the small animal enclosure (2 bunnies and 2 turkeys) and the large animal enclosure (2 goats, 2 sheep, and 2 pigs) and we'll spend time hand feeding the animals and petting them. Some are shy, but others are pretty friendly. I can tell you each animals history of how he/she arrived here. If Newton is in a good mood he might do some jumps for us (he's working on his goat agility training) If all guests are over the age of 8 we can also take the goats and sheep out for a walk up the road if you like - they are leash trained! The sanctuary visit is a simple experience...just come connect with our animals, go for a little walk with the goats and sheep, and feed them all some treats :) Your visit can be as long or short as you like. This is a fantastic kids experience and is geared toward kids but adults can participate as well. MONEY RAISED FROM THIS EXPERIENCE GOES 100% TO ANIMAL FEED AND CARE. We are not a for profit farm. Please note: toddlers are welcome on the farm but this experience is best suited to kids ages 3 and up. We've found the under 3's often scare the animals with loud shrieks or sudden movements.
