We had a wonderful stay! The location was great, very close to town/restaurants.

Daniel and Anna were GREAT host. The home was clean, quite and a great location for motorcycle riding. We loved it and would love to go back.

What a lovely lake cabin escape! Gilbert was communicative and very accommodating. We really enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit, and relaxing on the dock. The place has all the essentials and cute rustic charm. I’d definitely stay here again!

We absolutly loved Suzy's place. With any cabin in the woods, yes there are going to be ants. As long as your responsible with your food (don't leave it out, leave open food hanging around) you will be fine. This is not the place to go if you don't like bug or bees. for a Cabin in the woods, it was perfect! The lake front was BEAUTIFUL. Our last night there, there was a thunderstorm with heavy rain. add the open windows and it was bliss! definitely considering making this a yearly trip! Thank you Suzy!

This house has everything you need for a getaway. We stayed on the decks more than in the house. The furniture outside has been upgraded since the photos on the listing. Kitchen was spotless and had everything I need to cook for my family. I will be back. There are 125 steps to get to the water. I knew it would be a trek, so it didn’t bother me. But, just a heads up if you aren’t able to climb that many steps. All of the houses are like that.

Awesome spot right on the water with a private deck and wonderful views. The house was more than accommodating. We cooked all of our meals in the ample kitchen, slept well in comfy beds, and each had our own bathrooms. The screened in porch was the best part. There were also lots of boats, floats, chairs, etc. for the lake... a definite bonus. Will definitely keep this on our list of Santeetlah houses to return to.

We have been visiting Graham county on and off for years and if you are looking for peace and quiet and to be close to nature this is perfect! Randy is a wonderful host and very knowledgeable of the area. Always super quick to respond and so nice. The house was great and had everything we needed. My kids loved the creek right out the back door and we were swimming in the lake almost every day. It is just a short walk from the house. Wake up to beautiful mountain birds singing in the morning and the sound of the creek. The hot tub was wonderful and perfect for relaxing. Plenty of outdoor seating and having a full size garage was nice too for keeping fishing tackle and our paddle boards. Showers and bathrooms were very clean and like new. If I had to say anything it would be to bring some extra towels from home but we had four adults and three kids so I already had packed a few anyways. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay for being in nature but with all the comforts of home!

This is the kind of place AirBnb was made for. Such a homey space with unique style and personal touches. We enjoyed disconnecting and relaxing inside and out during our stay. The place was well kepted and well equipped for a laid-back long weekend. It was clearing kept clean and tidy but it did have a strong musty smell when we arrived. It mostly aired out after a day with the windows open, but I have to warn others as I know it can be a big issue for some. However, my husband, pups, and I wouldn't pass up the chance to stay again when we want to visit Lake Fontana.

We had the most amazing and relaxing time on the property, everything was clean and gorgeous. The sound of the river was wonderful and a great way to relax as well as being beautiful. The home was also well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. The porch was a little oasis from the home itself and you could sleep out there it was so calming. The owners Dawn and Randall were very communicative and accommodating and made this process as easy as possible! We are definitely coming back to the area and would love to reserve this place again. 5/5 stars

We had a great stay at Erin's home. The location on the lake was ideal, not far from the marina and had beautiful views at all angles of the home. The outside was serene and everywhere you looked were beautiful flowers. We loved our stay here and highly recommend.

Such a beautiful home and place. We enjoyed the stay! The pool was by far our favorite just wish we had better weather to enjoy it further. Great customer service. We accidentally set the fire alarm off one night and she didn’t hesitate to message to make sure everything was okay.

We had a great stay over Labor Day weekend. The home is very secluded with amazing views of the lake. Lisa communicated with us the entire time, providing a lot of information about the house and things to do in the surrounding area. Definitely recommend and hope to be back

Beautiful, secluded location. Perfect ti get away from it all. Make sure you bring anything you need with you, the closest town is 25 min away. Great hiking nearby.

We have stayed in several airbnbs in different locations and this was one of the best ones. We needed a lot of room for family coming in and out and this house provided that. Everyone fit at one huge dining table, even outside there was seating for a lot of people. There weren’t breakable decorations everywhere that kids needed to avoid. Things like that are pretty but we always have to stay on guard at homes like that and this home was beautifully decorated but could handle kids and a crowd. Our dog had plenty of room to run and swim and the dock was easily accessible for swimming and kayaking. We appreciate all of the kayaks and paddle boards that were available and also the sunscreen and bug spray that was in the home. This house is not one of those completely empty homes where you have to buy everything for just a few days. There are spices available, toiletries that smell amazing and a master bathroom that dreams are made!!! There’s also a bait shop almost next door open 7am-10pm!

nice setting in the woods - great view of the lake from the inside den area and back porch. very quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for!

This location was perfect for the location we needed to be. The Wi-Fi worked great, which was critical for me to work remotely. The host was very responsive. The apartment was very clean and had many amenities we were not expecting.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Patti's home. There was plenty of room for all of us (7 adults, a toddler and a baby). Everyone had their own private space. The wrap around porch was terrific! The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. The fishermen in the family were pleased with the fishing. Hiawasee is a great little town with great little shops. We attended Macedonia Baptist Church Sunday morning and felt very welcomed.

Kristy was very nice and responsive. The house was absolutely beautiful and clean. The living room/patio scenery were stunning. We couldn’t get enough of the jacuzzi (tv outside was a plus). Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Morganton/Blue ridge area, whether you want a quiet getaway or a close spot to the lake/beach.

The home was lovely & beautifully decorated. The views were ever-changing and amazing - I loved when we woke up to see the clouds on the lake! And the symphony from the various wind chimes on the deck was mesmerizing. The furnished deck was definitely my favorite part. Thank you!

We felt so fortunate to have found this place. The house was perfect for the family. Beautiful spaces inside and outdoors. Nothing more relaxing than this placid lake, its quiet atmosphere and splendid views. The full moon was amazing. The Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest--our reason for coming--was everything we had expected, and more. With its giant poplars, and the mysterious world of fungi and fertile fallen trees, we loved every step of the loop trail. This home is a perfect place to get away from everything. So comfortable and relaxing, with simple good taste. Michelle's notes, care of details and suggestions made us feel at home right away. We look forward to going back at the next opportunity! By the way: the Internet worked great. And we even watched a movie on TV. Our thanks to Michelle and Kirk!

Great stay. Comfortable, spotless, perfectly clear communication. We were an easy 10-15 min drive from gas/grocery/restaurants. The cottage sits on a beautiful property with the loveliest views. Took a cup of coffee on the porch, enjoyed the morning views and nature sounds. Watching cows happily running for their food was a plus. Thankful for a no stress visit.
