Ski-in/Ski-out holiday rentals in Chittenden County

We traveled from various parts of the country to Vermont for a cousin’s wedding in nearby Colchester, and staying at Frank and Carol’s farmhouse was the perfect choice. They were incredibly welcoming, communicative, and helpful throughout our stay. The historic home is tucked away in a quiet, scenic area with a charming brook alongside it. Mornings on the porch with a cup of Green Mountain coffee were a highlight. I also recommend taking a morning stroll to meet the friendly local farmers-such a peaceful and authentic experience. Highly recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay at Eric and Kathy's home. It was the best of what Airbnb does, allowing you to stay in someone's beautifully designed and appointed home in a beautiful part of the world. The photos cannot do it justice. We often stay in Airbnbs where we rent the entire house, so I often worry when we are sharing a space. But Eric and Kathy were so thoughtful and the way the rooms were set up we had as much privacy as we wanted, while also getting the chance to meet these wonderful people and when needed, get help with directions and suggestions. They were such wonderful hosts, it was even better than having a place to ourselves. Possibly the most beautiful kitchen I have cooked in. :) Highly recommended.

Gorgeous property. Great location. Spectacular vacation house, roomy and spacious, well maintained and perfect for a large family group. The house is surrounded by beautiful trees, set back from the road with a nice, ample front lawn and a secluded back garden You can sit on the front deck and admire the magnificent mountain view, or you can use as a base to explore large areas of Vermont. The location is within easy reach of hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming and river walks. We spent a lovely day in nearby Burlington and relaxed by Lake Champlain. The hosts, Michal and Brian are kind, gracious and responsive and it was a pleasure to deal with them from the beginning of the booking process and during our stay. This home had plenty of space and was in an easy location to go to restaurants, shops, and the brewery in town. It was also an easy ride for our family to get to Sugarbush to ski/ride each day. The large mud/storage/laundry room was perfect to drop our gear at the end of the day. We would love to stay again next season to visit the mountain!

This is a cozy, well stocked, super clean cabin with a spacious common area. My group of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Favorite moment -- looking out the window from a comfortable couch to see one of my sons whiz by on his snowboard. He was coming down from the Bolton trail just above the house. I will agree with what others have said that it is a steep climb up to get to that trail and once on it's a challenging run at that. We found a better choice for most of us generally was to drive the very short distance (1 to 2 minutes) down to the base of Bolton where tix, rentals, lifts etc await. Walking would have also been an easy option but we were buffeted by rather fierce winds during our stay. Anyway, headline here is "Loved the place"

It’s a really fun spot to be on the mountain… close to everything, ski in/out most days of the week! So convenient and very comfortable. Our family loves this stay, thanks Paul.

We had a great time staying here! It’s a short walk up to the Timberline run, and very easy to ski all the way back to the house. The house felt cozy and comfortable with a big open kitchen/living room area that was perfect for our group. Would stay again!

Brooke’s place was great! We had a great time. Easy to communicate, very fast response from her. The place was beautiful with nice mountain views. Definitely recommend.

We discovered every convenience...there was plenty of space for our family of four, the rooms were spacious and very clean, the kitchen had every item we needed to cook for a few days, and the fireplace and jacuzzi tub were favorites with the kids.

Annie was helpful and proactive from the minute we booked this home. She reached out to offer advice on finding the driveway, parking in icy conditions (which was worth its weight in gold) and left a check-in book full of instructions. The location is great with a stunning view of the mountains and just a 15 minute drive from Smuggler’s Notch. I would absolutely stay here again!

This place evokes all of my fond memories of growing up in New England and doing weekend family ski trips to small, but picturesque, resorts in Vermont and New Hampshire. Lars' place gave me the opportunity to share that experience with my Florida-born children and Texas- born and raised wife, and they absolutely loved it. Cookie-cutter condos and base hotels just don't measure up to this quaint mountainside home that has everything you need for a memorable ski vacation. I would characterize the ski slope access to be ski in/ski out- ish as there is a little bit of a walk to the nearest trail, but nothing arduous and definitely better than having to deal with parking and carrying gear back and forth from the base lodge.

Great location. No need to drive once there. Walk to lifts, restaurants and activities!

This was our second stay at this place and we love it. We've been going to Smuggs for over 20 years and the location of this condo is exactly where you want to be! You can walk to the village, lifts, pool and fun zone in the blink of an eye, no need to take a shuttle!! If you are going up the hill to the daytime tubing, it's a quick call to the on demand shuttle that will take you right there. Thank you Allyson for the responsove communication and consideration. so glad we found your place!

Great location, so much space, and hassle free check in and check out. We had a blast staying here and having a balcony was awesome.

Fun, unique location in former Hotel with shared amenities in the common area like game room with shuffleboard and table tennis, hot tub, and sauna. Mike was very responsive and understanding after an invited guest from our party disturbed the other condo owners in this building. The result was a fair and understanding handling of the situation.

Overall, this is the perfect place for a family of 4 to stay on the mountain at Bolton. Easily accessible to the slopes, and the setup is clearly well thought out by a family that loves skiing/riding (baskets for loose gloves, mittens, ample floor mats, tons of hooks for hanging etc.) Kitchen is well equipped with fridge, microwave, stove, oven, Keurig, and toaster oven. Very close to the markets/restaurants. It's simple but exactly what you need for a great week(end) on the mountain. Felt like being a guest of a family, not a generic Airbnb.

We were upgraded to a presidential suite which was had ample space for our family of 5. Other than the following CONS, this place was amazing and very comfortable! A couple of extra coffee packets for the coffee maker would have been appreciated for the longer stay (only 2 were provided and we were charged a fee to order extra!) The kitchen was missing an electric kettle so boiling hot water for tea had to be done with a small pot on the stove, There was no hot tub nearby and the games room pool table was missing balls!
