Quiet rural cottage on the beautiful west of Bute

StephenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This cottage is fantastic. Everything here has been thought of. If you were inclined you could literally prepare any main meal here. The location was perfect for us looking for a simple, peaceful base to explore Bute from. The host has placed in the cottage. plentiful maps, walks and references for things to do on the Island. Ettrick bay is a tranquil retreat with amazing scenery in every direction. It has good walks locally and an hourly bus back into Rothesay. If you wish you can walk the old Tram path back to Port Banantyne (about 90 mins). I have to say we were extremely fortunate with the weather (17-21 March) and it was wonderful at the end of the day to sit on the patio with a glass of wine staring out to sea and the Island of Arran. Simply Stunning.

Fabulous round house on the west coast of Scotland

JamesRating, 5 stars1 week ago
David and Clare’s “The Drum” is a real gem! It was the perfect sanctuary for us to relax and unwind for 6 days. We enjoyed their supper club (exquisite, fine dining) (the best) by Clare and perfectly hosted by David. We loved swimming in the Loch opposite through the golden gate, lighting fires in the evenings. And the incredible silence. Peace. Beautiful experience. Check out the Crinan canal and go for lunch in Crinan. Spectacular views. Take a short cruise up the canal. Thank you so much.

Self-Catering Suite set in rural Guest House

MarieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful time at this self catering accommodation within the bnb. The location is enchanting, and the view from our window unto a private back garden was lovely. The little stove was a very nice touch, the shower very modern and roomy and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our hosts were very accommodating of us bringing along our 1 year old toddler, even sorting breakfast for him and organising a high chair. Our little boy loved to spot the local animals out of our window and the sheep in the fields around the bnb. It was a super relaxing stay, you can really tell that Andrea and Kat have lovingly thought about all the little design details in the bnb, we were sad to leave! I highly recommend adding breakfast to your booking, and for local sightseeing taking a trip to the Isle of Gigha which we adored. Thank you very much!

Seal Cabin - A wee piece of Scottish Luxury

JaneRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The most wonderful cabin with such a majestic view of Loch Goil, absolutely breathtaking. We felt instantly relaxed the moment we arrived. Iain was a wonderful host, warm and helpful, and gave us some fantastic recommendations for special dinners at Wild Kabn and Inver, both unforgettable experiences. We walked every day, soaking in the scenery, and were lucky enough to spot seals swimming right in front of the cabin! The space is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and thoughtfully equipped, from the cosy blankets to the picture-perfect window views. Morning coffee overlooking the water felt like a scene from a film. A magical stay we won’t forget.

The Black Cabin Oban

LuukRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had an amazing stay at The Black Cabin! The house is beautifully located, with stunning views of the green fields and Oban. It’s incredibly clean and well-maintained. The design of the cabin is wonderful with modern look. The jacuzzi was the perfect way to unwind after a day of hiking in the area. One tip: take the ferry to Kerrera for a wonderful day of exploration. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Highly recommended!

Stunning Apt with Sea View | Port Bannatyne | 1 BD

TaraRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We absolutely loved staying here. The flat is a dream, perfectly furnished and decorated, with beautiful views (and bench seats for every view)! It was so well stocked, everything had been thought of, and Graeme made sure we had everything we needed for our stay, which we really appreciated. The guidebook made everything simple and straightforward, and we loved the recommendations - would second the recommendation for the community pub, and we had a great day trip to Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. A lot of local places were closed during our mid-week, off-season stay, but the flat and the surroundings were so beautiful that it didn't matter! It was the perfect place to cosy up in after walks in the Bute winds. We hope to be back.
