Holiday rentals with lake access in Columbia County

Lovely place, did what it said on the tin! Walkable to the main parts of Hudson. Very comfortable. Beautifully equipped.

The lakehouse looks exactly like the photos - stylish and cozy. The house looks small from the outside, but we were amazed by how well it fit our family of seven adults and two toddlers. The instructions/guide to the house was clearly written and super helpful, and Vincent was very easy to communicate with, usually responding right away. We were grateful for all the amenities the house comes with. In addition to enjoying the house itself and the gorgeous deck, we also made smores one night in the fire pit and went kayaking with the little ones. The owner provides guests with bracelets that give access to the community amenities as well. The community pool, playground, and little beach were all beautiful and very well maintained. Our little ones especially loved this weekend!

We had a wonderful stay at Allie's cottage on the lake! The home was just as described, super clean with more than everything we needed for a great stay! My husband loves to cook and the kitchen was beautifully stocked and organized. There is so much to do right at the house, we ended up spending most of our time enjoying the lake and the huge yard! Such a wonderful Airbnb with thoughtful touches (welcome basket), yard games and kayaks. So nice to feel right at home! We only wish we would have stayed longer! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage on the gorgeous lake!

This place was exactly what we expected. Big, spacious, and well maintained. Milot was quick to respond to any questions, very proactive and very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend anyone visiting the area to stop by here and check it out for yourself. Top tier vibes & hospitality. 10/10 in my book.

We had a great time in Vladimir & Annie’s house. The house was clean & comfortable. The balcony of the lake’s view was amazing. We spent a fantastic time by having some morning breakfast on it and listening the birds songs… Special thanks for their flexibility with checking in & out. Highly recommended this house for our friends and family and looking forward to be back 😊

We had a wonderful week at this Great Barrington home. Everything was as described in the listing, and we loved the pond view, use of kayaks, paddle boards & hit tub, the serenity of the gazebo and the breezes on the screen porch. Our family was able to spread out and not feel right on top of each other, but yet we were still able to hang out in the open kitchen/living room area. The pond was so much bigger than we expected- great place to kayak and spy on beavers, geese and turtles. The owners were very communicative and checked in to make sure we were comfortable and to see if we had any questions. Easy drive to downtown Barrington and surrounding areas. We even road our e-bikes into GB one day and it was a beautifully scenic ride.

I had a lovely long weekend celebrating my 40th birthday with friends at the Madrigal house. It was well situated to cute shops and provisions in Red Hook and easy access to Hudson. The house was pristine inside and incredibly comfortable and beautiful. It is the perfect place for a low key and relaxing but special weekend away. Highly recommend. Thanks again!

Jeanne’s place was just incredible. The lakefront views, easy access, and water toys make it a fabulous get-away vacation. The patio is delightful with lights, comfortable seating, fan, log burning fire, lounge chairs, and bird feeder that is so fun to watch. The grounds have gorgeous flowers, beautifully maintained. The kitchen is among the best provisioned we have experienced (e.g., blender, gourmet cooking utensils) and Jeanne provides so many extra’s—e.g., coffee, spices, maple syrup, pancake mix. . Although the space is a studio it is so well designed for storage and flexible use that it feels large and comfortable. High quality linens, bath and lake towels are convenient. Jeanne and Jim were very accessible for local recommendations.. We felt like guests in a concierge hotel but with private, relaxing accommodations. This is our second visit and we hope to come back frequently. Highest recommendation for Jeanne’s place.

It's hard to find a place with sufficient private space for 4 separate people. This apartment is large and very well-equipped with basic toiletries and kitchen supplies (salt and pepper on dining room table!). Like others, we found Robin and Stanley very responsive. We had a great stay!

My daughter and I stayed here for a week this early summer to visit family. The location in Great Barrington is amazing and the neighborhood is beautiful. We walked to the lake three times and swam. The house is old, so it does have its creaks, but for us, it worked sweetly. We lounged with our coffees downstairs in the morning and I even took a hot bath in the vintage bathtub.

This place was amazing, exactly like the photos. Whatever cleaning service they use is pristine, it felt like everything was brand new out of the box, not even a fuzz or spec in the bathroom or kitchen. I really appreciated that. The backyard is huge, and a nice unexpected surprise. It’s extremely private and dark at night so recommend getting there during daylight. Hudson is less than 20 mins away and there are great little spots like local 111 in the neighborhood. Had a lot of cooking dishware, also very appreciated. Over all absolutely loved my stay and will absolutely be booking again!

We loved the studio and felt right at home It was a perfect place to stay while exploring the Berkshires, close to both outdoor activities and the offerings of the town. We especially appreciated the beautiful view from the studio which enhanced rest and relaxation. Jill and Steve were great hosts. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at David’s place. The bed was comfortable, amenities were great, and the location was unbeatable. David was a very responsive and proactive host. We left a small item behind and he even went out of his way to mail it back to us. Overall 100/10 recommend!

Wife, me and two teenage "kids" staied at Steves between Christmas and New Years. The location is amazing and the views from the living room were beautiful. So much sunlight come through the large windows that one could sunbath indoors. The two rooms downstairs were large and well equipped. Kitchen fully functional and well proportionate bathroom. The mudroom downstairs was great to take off our heavier winter gear and shoes. Did I mention the heated floors? Would recommend to any family looking for a quiet place to rechange. Should be equally nice in Summer too.

A wonderful spot if you are traveling with a pup and looking for a convenient spot to explore Columbia county. I travel upstate a lot and this Airbnb is one of the nicer ones I have visited. The space was absolutely spotless!! Great dining space, and all the kitchen basics. The star of the show is definitely the fenced in yard. My dog was a huge fan!! The tub in the bathroom is also a nice amenity. Only things to consider, Phimont is a still a town in transition. Not somewhere I enjoy spending time. But there are tons of things nearby. Also, you do hear some noise from neighbors. Nothing that diminished our stay. I really appreciated how proactive and responsive Michelle and Jacopo were. Overall I would definitely recommend!

The house and location are beautiful with direct access to the lake and an amazing view. The house is comfortable and well appointed. We loved the canoe! Vince and Natasha are great hosts, very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend this house and hope to stay again sometime.

We loved our three night stay at Gabe's place! Our trip was a songwriting retreat, and this rental was the perfect blend of privacy and convenience. The house was very quiet so that we could focus on creative work, and yet it was just a short drive to some great restaurants and the cute downtown of Catskill when we needed a break. The open living room gave us plenty of space to stretch out to work, and the air conditioning units helped us stay cool. We are already talking about the possibility of returning next year!

My friends and I loved our weekend getaway at Vivian's lake house. Vivian was a very responsive host and provided clear instructions that made our stay seamless. The space was super clean, modern, and easily accommodated all 8 of us. The highlight of our trip was spending time on the lake with the provided kayaks and paddle boards. We enjoyed ending the day by grilling and sitting around the fire pit. We wish we had stayed longer!

Amazing place. Lisa & Steve's cottage made for an amazing weekend. We had pretty bad weather but it was still a great weekend. The lake is so peaceful and the set up of the cottage is perfect. The cottage has everything you need, as well as everything you didnt know you needed! We'll definitely be back. Ate at The Aviary, The Smokehouse & The Maker (Hudson) - all very different but incredible.

The waterfront property with kayaks was the winning touch for us. In a quiet neighborhood with a friendly neighbor and plenty of birds to enjoy, it was a great escape from the city. Unrelated, we were a bit surprised at the prices of everything in the area, but maybe that’s just the spread of the Hudson draw.

Book this space! All weekend, I found myself saying out loud to my family, “This house is perfect.” It truly is. Meredith’s home fit 5 people and our dog and still felt spacious. We loved the open layout, it made family time feel easy and natural. It was spotless, and so cozy. The outdoor space was so welcome, as was the wood burning oven to add a special touch on a rainy weekend. We plan on returning this winter as well. Thank you!

A beautiful cozy get away with deer strolling through every so often. It was easy to travel to nearby towns and destinations. Bonnie was very helpful, responsive and gave amazing recommendations!

The cabin was lovely. Well renovated and well appointed. It was like a studio apartment with a beautiful deck. I appreciated the kitchen in which I could cook, and the bright colors made it, especially welcoming and friendly. The hosts are excellent communicators on the Airbnb app.I use the kayak and swim in the lake every day I was there. There is a grill outside, but no propane. So, bring your own Kohl’s and starter. Overall, I am delighted with this rental.
