Em and I had such a beautiful time staying at the peaceful, luxurious, and stunning Oikos at Breakneck Gorge. The layout was superb for a complete escape from the everyday with views we struggled to pry ourselves away from when it came time to explore the lovely Hepburn/Daylesford area. Arthur was lovely and incredibly informative and the space itself was fitted with just about every creature comfort we could possibly have wished for.

Staying at Rachel’s place was an absolute dream! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The space was spotless, beautifully styled, and filled with thoughtful touches that showed how much care Rachel puts into hosting. Every detail was perfect – from the soft linens and well-stocked kitchen to the welcoming note and local recommendations. Rachel was incredibly responsive, kind, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay special. You can tell she truly cares about her guests' experience. Hans and Christina’s tiny home in Daylesford is an absolute dream—beautifully designed, incredibly cozy, and set in the most peaceful location surrounded by nature. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated, from the stylish interior to the ultra-comfy bed, making it the perfect spot to unwind. We loved enjoying our morning coffee on the deck and relaxing under the stars in the evening. The home feels private yet is just a short drive from the heart of town. Hans and Christina were wonderful hosts—warm, responsive, and full of great local tips. A 10/10 stay—we can’t wait to come back!

Although attached to the main house the accommodation was extremely private and in a beautiful setting with lovely views. We didn’t get to enjoy the outside decks due to the rain but were extremely happy to laze near the cozy wood fire and use the luxurious bathtub. Everything was absolutely spotless, the bed was very comfy and the fresh eggs, yummy bread, wine & chocolates very much appreciated. Thank you Michelle for a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. From the moment we walked through the gate and the manicured garden and entered the house we felt right at home. Inside was tastefully decorated and felt very luxurious. The home is warm and spacious and the wood heater in the lounge was a delight to have on the cold Daylesford nights. The house is located in a very quiet street and there is plenty of privacy whether you’re inside or outside enjoying the fire pit or patio. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of action but our host communicated openly and clearly about it and kept us informed of progress to rectify it. When it wasn’t able to be up and running while we were there an appropriate refund was applied. We highly recommend a stay at Greenleaf and appreciated the peace and tranquility of the home and great host who was friendly and very responsive.

Wow, rarely are we lost for words but not even the gorgeous photos could prepare us for what this would truly be like. As soon as you step into the longhouse you just feel different, the air smells beautiful and the nature sounds are so peaceful. Everything is so well designed and thought of. It feels like a hidden oasis and perfect place to relax. Most of our communication this trip was with Trace who greeted us and showed us around the property. The hosts are extremely helpful and have a lot of pride in their house and what they do. We’d recommend checking the website and booking one of their classes during your stay. I’m running out of space here to write but we absolutely couldn’t fault our stay here which was for our honeymoon. The outdoor bath and sauna are a highlight as well as the luxurious linens and views as you wake up in the morning. I’d recommend bringing some produce up with you and making use of the amazing kitchen equipped with everything you need.

Our stay at The Fat Pony Lodge was truly wonderful. The house itself was stunning spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. One standout feature was the gorgeous stained glass window in the main living area, which added a unique charm to the space. The surrounding grounds made the experience even more special. Feeding the beautiful horses and ponies was an unforgettable highlight and brought a magical touch to our stay. We absolutely loved our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway.
