It sits in a walled in compound in the outskirts of town, next to its twin sister, Casita Cotacachi, amongst flowers and trees that attract countless birds, including hummingbirds, butterflies, honey bees, etc. Our casita is also ecofriendly. We collect rain water for the watering of our extensive gardens. Come and visit.

All the bedding, towels, shower curtain and rugs are washed and drawers, closets, kitchenware are disinfected after each guest. Clients’ safety and comfort is our goal! Hot water is awesome, compared to most places where water is heated inconsistently by gas, or electric showers.

Casa Orion, the country place in the city.

David's place is very secure and nice just a 10-15minute walk from town on a mostly quiet road, with a few cars only passing you on your way into town. There's a fruit shop a 5minutes away, and the place itself is very quiet all times of the day - you don't hear dogs barking at night. The accommodation itself is great, with a very comfortable bed and work desk + chair, and of course a private bathroom and huge closet. Nothing to complain about there. The water pressure is very good and the bathroom's shower & sink get hot. Not all places in Cotacachi are like that. David himself is very knowledgable and helpful as he's been living in the area for many many years and is a great host - next time we come back to cotacachi in a couple months we'll stay with him again.

We had an amazing experience staying at Patricia and Rumi's home. They welcomed us into their family, cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for us. During the meal Patricia would sit and talk with us. She was very patient with our limited Spanish. My daughter was interested in their farm and Patricia showed us the different crops they were growing, and we walked with her to being the cows to another pasture and saw the chickens with their eggs and the rabbits and guinea pigs. Patricia also helped organize a horse riding trip for my kids and I when we expressed interest. My husband was able to work remotely from their place and there were several coffee shops close by that he worked from as well. Feel so fortunate to have the experience of staying with an Ecuadorian family.

My dad and I wanted a place outside of the center yet still close enough to get the buses. Wilson’s mom Dina allowed me to use her kitchen to cook my own food. My dad and I had a very peaceful sleep and enjoying eating dinner and breakfast with both of Wilson’s parents. We would definitely recommend staying here for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
