Relax with the whole family at this peaceful little cabin. It has a queen size bed with a set of twin size bunk beds. It also has an electric fire place, a mini-refrigerator/ microwave and is air conditioned. It is situated just 50 yards from the Carriage House where there is full bathroom with a walk-in shower. The host was friendly and quick to reply to questions. The A frame was easy to find and is nicer than pictured. Bed was firm but comfy. Lots of portable lighting to help navigate the property when it’s dark.. I really enjoyed the multiple seating options to catch the wild life (deer, birds, rabbits) and do some star gazing. there is also a walking trail worth checking out. Overall a peaceful retreat from the busy week. I will return.

From the moment my friend and I entered we were delightedly smitten with this clean and well appointed home. Jackie’s thoughtful and endearing amenities, from warm to whimsical to incredibly useful, indicated she’d thought of everything. We turned from these lovely touches, spotted the spectacular panoramic view out the living room window and sweetness turned to love for Jackie’s home here at “Four Hills.” Outside, we rested comfortably seated in the vast meadow and listened to the songs of red winged blackbirds, robins, and mourning doves while we watched rabbits explore. Inside we had everything we could possibly need along with many sweet surprises far beyond our expectations. With abundant fluffy towels, bedding and pillows, a well stocked coffee nook, a cabinet with items we may have forgotten and home baked treats in the kitchen, Jackie proved herself to be a super host in the making. This was such a lovely stay, our only regret was that it was for just one night.

My dad and his wife (and 7yo) stayed here during a very hard time for our family. I was glad to find a place near the family and Rae was very friendly and helpful. We were able to take my baby sister to a nearby park and did not mind not having access to the backyard.

Adorable Cottage in the Woods

The Cottage in the woods was exactly what we had hoped it would be, a peaceful getaway from busy life. There were so many things to like such as the friendliness that Amy and Josh displayed, or the chickens and turkeys that kept us company. Speaking of company, Maggie was a fun-loving pup who we threw a stick for and got to walk with. Meanwhile, the house was large but homey and we had lots of fun playing ping pong and enjoying the creek in the porch area. The house was also a bit chilly in the fall, but Amy and Josh were accommodating and had a space heater that made it feel much warmer. I should add that we had the pleasure of visiting during the Applefest a Greene town festival where we got to see 96 artisans and craft tents and enjoy plenty of fall food. Lastly, I just wanted to say that if you are looking to get away and have a weekend or week for yourself or with a partner then this is the place to go!
