Waterfront holiday rentals in Den Helder

Laura and her husband Arjan were the perfect hosts! Arjan served us breakfast each morning which included a basket of fresh bread, fruits and cheese. Arjan provided us with great recommendations and most especially - showed us how to use the tram system! It is a lovely apartment and they made us feel very welcome.

The apartment was absolutely wonderful, right on the canal with a nice view. Purmerend is a very nice little town with beautiful parks. If you are coming for Amsterdam it is a little inconvenient to get into the city, but still manageable. If you are coming for purmerend I couldn’t imagine a better place for the price. Sandra was very helpful and a great host as well.

I had a really nice time in Martijn's studio. The beach and the sea are within a few minutes' walk and being able to use the sauna in the evening was really great!

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

Eva’s place was perfect for a central base and had everything needed - great having a washing machine also. Location was great - easy walk to town for eating and also 15mins walk to the station. Eva herself was amazing and helped me out quickly when I locked myself out.

We loved our stay in this character-filled historic house. The apartment is beautiful, spacious and felt private, even though it’s a shared building. The location is excellent and we savored the view of the canal from the big windows. The bed and linens are comfy, crisp and clean, and there were plenty of towels. We even enjoyed hearing a bit of Evert and his students’ violin-playing. (Seriously, I don’t really like violins but the playing was expert and lovely.) Memorable stay!!

A warm welcome to an idyllic spot in Workum. I was with my daughter of almost 7. Baukje had even bought nice things for her! Close to everything, such as the sea, shops and restaurants. We had bicycles with us but it was also fine to do on foot. Boating is also fun, if you can do it a little. Diederick and son saved us 😅 We had a very successful weekend and certainly worth repeating. Thank you!

Super nice accommodation, very quiet location! You have everything you need in the apartment and everything is clean! We have been coming to Petra for several years and feel very comfortable every time! If you want complete peace and quiet, you've come to the right place! You can spend a lot of time in the garden or on the terrace by the canal. In addition, you can take very nice bike tours in the area. We definitely recommend the accommodation to everyone!

The apartment was clean and tastefully decorated. We missed a few dishes in the kitchen. It also gets warm relatively quickly there, as it is an annex. At first, we were irritated that the door to the apartment is not lockable and that a staircase to the landlord goes up in the hallway. But we had our privacy and no one came down the stairs. Communication very friendly and fast.

An all-round great house in the holiday park de Krim. The house is in a quiet location, but also very central. The center of the park is only a few minutes' walk away, which is great with smaller children. The contact with Gerdi is very friendly and uncomplicated. We had a really nice vacation on Texel and would love to come back.

We were traveling by bike and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly hostess. Thank you very much for this great start to the day. We felt totally comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). Actually a real insider tip, ....psst,but don't tell anyone :-) Thank you, Inge and Ben for the great time! Thomas & Astrid

We spent very nice days in this beautiful house. The terrace directly on a small canal with a view over the meadows offered pure relaxation. The area is ideal for cycling along the canals and blooming tulip fields. Trudi was a very nice and attentive host. Thank you! Maria and Heiko

Very nice location, very close to the center. It is important to mention that there is no parking space for the car. 500 meters away is a free parking space. We didn't think this was a problem. First drop off the luggage and then take the car to the parking lot, went well (one-way traffic). The cottage is modern and cozy and equipped with every comfort! Train station and bus stop are nearby to explore the wider area by public transport. In the garden, there is a shed where you can store your own/rented bicycles. It is a quiet environment and yet close to the city center! Wonderful place and definitely recommended.

We had a wonderful time at this Airbnb! The house was the same as in the photos – very clean, cozily furnished and equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We particularly enjoyed the view of the water, which really made the stay special. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, communication went smoothly and we felt welcome from the beginning. Small extras such as a welcome greeting and local tips were also a nice surprise. We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend this house!

The accommodation completely convinced us: very clean, everything you need for a holiday week, very comfortable beds, great bathroom, appealing outdoor area. Very friendly, uncomplicated hosts, always available and with proactive tips, e.g. on the changed route. We can fully recommend Micaela and John's house.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s. She is a very friendly host and answers questions quickly. The place is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, and the commute to the city is easy.

Lovely apartment and quiet neighborhood!

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

My family of four stayed at Max’s place for four nights. The location is great, with just about an hour’s drive to many popular destinations in Holland. The view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment was clean and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and we will recommend it to our friends and family if they visit Holland in the future.

The stay at Suus was impeccable :) Suus was always attentive, easily accessible and very friendly. The apartment is located in the middle of the city, so you can easily reach everything on foot. Since the apartment is under the roof, it can get a little warm in the summer, but with a draft it works well! We felt very comfortable!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay in Lily’s place. Tastefully decorated in blue and white, new bathroom, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, good welcome and instruction leaflet in several languages, great balcony and view of the IJsselmeer and your own parking spot in the back. If you don’t have children I wouldn’t stay in this area during the school holidays as it will be busy and noisy. Now it was perfect, quiet and peaceful and would definetely recommend staying in this lovely apartment.

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

We really like the accommodation for its location in relation to the country's landmarks. The hosts always very friendly and super quick to respond to messages. Although the room is inside their house we never lacked privacy and we had everything we needed inside the room :)
