Our beautiful private guest suite is located in one of the most quiet, safe, and green residential neighborhoods in Philadelphia, Roxborough. We are a 10 minute drive from Manayunk restaurants & bars, and 35 minute drive from Center City Philadelphia (45 with traffic). Buses and trains are within walking distance to go to Center City if you don’t want to drive. Also, the Wissahickon Valley park is less than 5 mins away for those interested in sightseeing, hiking, and biking along the trails.

The Coachman's House is part of a larger estate built in 1852. Tucked away on top of a hill, the property is accessed by a long, winding drive through a park-like 3+ acre oasis in historic Germantown. The renovated 2 story cottage once served as the coachman's home and is adjacent to the main house and the former stables. With a private entrance, the first floor contains a mini kitchen, seating area and work space nook. The second floor contains a queen size bed and private bath.

I loved staying here. I love when a host provides very clear instructions. I really loved that the host lives near multiple bus stops that can get you into the heart of Philly within 10 to 15 minutes. The check in process was extremely flexible, as my night ended around 1 am. The host was also very accomdating with a mistake that I made, and she helped to resolve my issue. I will stay here again.

Stellar host and fantastic experience! I love this place so much I booked it again very quickly as I had to work in Philly. This place is 30 minutes away from Center City. I have extremely sensitive ears and can hear the slightest noise and I couldn’t hear traffic, as the place is well insulated. Kale is very quiet like me. I heard the door open once and it’s the only indication that he is there. If I’m working in Philly, I’ll be back here as much as possible. Highly, highly recommend and it’s one my favorite places to stay!!

We had the most comforting stay! Delightful hosts. We went to Roots Picnic daily and our in and out hours were wonky— Carey and Gerry made us feel like we had a home to go to at night to rest with ease! It’s an oasis and I mean that!!

I was in town for three days for a college meeting and reunion, but didn't want to stay on campus in the dorms. Colleen's place is within walking distance of Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, and Harcum College. It was nice to have a quiet and comfortable place to sleep after long days of campus activities. I wanted a comfortable room at a reasonable price, and this provided me with exactly what I needed. Everything was just as described and pictured online, and Colleen was super responsive to messages. What's not to love?
