Holiday rentals with a kayak in Douglas County

If you are looking for a great place to stay with your family, this cabin is right on the lake, its a short walk down to the dock, we saw deer, eagles, loons right from the patio. Theres 3 bedrooms, a nice living room, and a great space in the basement for a games/to hang out. We had a great stay!

The weather turned harsh when we visited Duluth, but the cold winds and rain made us really appreciate this home’s solid construction, warmth and comfort! We especially loved the indoor fireplace, and when we had a question about the flue we got immediate help from Heirloom and the friendly homeowner. We found everything we needed for food preparation, entertainment and a good night’s sleep. This is a very well-run rental property with gorgeous views, and is a great base for exploring Duluth.

This place was incredible!! We enjoyed this beautiful home with our dog and our family friends with their 3 kids for a basketball tournament and a 5-year-old birthday! We had so much fun in the game room, we were so relaxed and content. There was plenty of space in the yard for our dog and we were all very comfortable. We cannot wait to plan a second trip back, thank you so much!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The space itself was very nice and was well taken care of. We loved the fact it is located right on a lake and loved spending time in the mornings near the lake. The cabin location is private and peaceful. We had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend this cabin!

Beautiful and serene Northwoods get away. Highly Recommend a stay here. The host is top notch. There truly is everything you need to relax and enjoy a beautiful peaceful setting. View of the Bay is breathtaking and there is abundant wildlife to view. Pogos bar has a great atmosphere and a great menu. 5 stars for sure.

The cabin on the Minong flowage was wonderful. Lots of space in the cabin for everyone, great deck and firepit. Docks were nice for fishing and kayaking. The cabin had a well stocked kitchen with great amenities. There was an easy walk to Pogo's across the street for great food and atomosphere. The hosts were very responsive and informative, I have nothing but good things to say about the location. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We were very impressed by the lake and the fun we had there! Amenities were perfect. Beds very comfy and plenty of kayaks, boats, and paddle boards to try in the water.

Beautiful setting - plenty of comfortable beds and great kitchen with lots of stocked items - had everything we could need - enjoyed the fall colors, saw deer, geese and other wildlife. Lots of windows, plenty of seating - enjoyed Netflix to watch a movie. Would definitely stay here again - too cold to swim or canoe/kayak or fish but would love to return in the summer. Thanks for sharing your place with us!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin by the lake! Everything was well thought out — games and puzzles inside, paddleboards and kayaks for the lake, plus a clean, cozy sauna. Even the outdoor toilet was spotless. We loved the peaceful setting and appreciated the thoughtful touches like insect repellent, marshmallows, and chocolates. Perfect for families with or without kids — highly recommend!

Peggy was extremely welcoming and accommodating. She provided everything we needed and more, even installed a little wheelchair ramp before we got there! The cabin was spotless and had the most beautiful view of the lake. Almost seemed like we were in a houseboat when sitting down in the cabin because of its location on a hill. Layout of the whole space was perfection. Multiple comfy places to sit outside with a great view of the water and play area so no one felt left out of the action. Big kiddos had a blast with the volleyball, basketball, football and even water guns while the little kids were in heaven, running between the swings, sandbox and trampoline. Again, layout was perfect because all of the fun was right by the water and viewable from the cabin, sunroom and patio/fire pit. Plenty of boat options to tootle around the lake. We had a wonderful time thanks to Peggy and her fabulous “team.”
