DIY guesthouse near the Fukui Sta.

Highly recommended to stay at Sammie‘s. Sakiko runs such a nice, cozy, open guesthouse, the rooms are comfortable with enough privacy and a nice community used space. The location is super good, close to cafes and restaurants and train station. If we come back to Fukui we definitely come back.

Beautiful nature, rich history and culture in Hubei, Ken House Japanese-style room

PetraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fantastic stay at Ken House. Sparkling clean. Very warm welcome. Really thought of everything and everything present. A few restaurants and 7/11 within walking distance. Comminication with Ken was excellent. Slept wonderfully in the tranquility of the countryside. Lots of nature and rice fields in the surrounding area. I would love to come back here sometime! Thank you Ken for a wonderful stay.

Thoroughly enjoyed my short 1 night stay at Zen Share House and wished I’d booked to stay another night. Host is so lovely, greeted me on arrival and explained everything in English well. So clean, homely and peaceful. Perfect location for visiting Eiheiji Temple with local bus 1 min walk away. Thankyou

Male and Female Mixed Dorm/Bed/Bunkbed/Mix dormitory/Hostel291 ②

JamesRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Nozomi was very helpful at getting me settled in. Since I was a solo traveller, I was in a small private room rather than the large pictured shared dormitory, but it was very comfortable and well sized. The only issue I had was with other guests moving past my room and using the kitchen/bathroom, but they were respectful and did not make excessive noise. Nozomi gave me some nice recommendations for local places to eat, and was very attentive and informative about the property and amenities I had available. The place is located in the quite area of Takefu, very close to the train station that could take you to the center of Fukui in about 20 minutes, a bus station that could take you to numerous other areas in the prefecture, and a large mall for all of your shopping needs. If I am ever in Fukui again, I would be happy to spend another few nights here!

A dream home away from home~ YAWNYAWN is the perfect stay for fellow wanderers drawn to design and music, but anyone would feel right at home with its warmth and cosiness. Yuka was the most welcoming host (thank you for the いちご), and the place was spotless 💖 A small heads-up for fellow over-packers: you would need to carry your luggage up a small flight of stairs. Regardless, I had such a restful stay, and would have stayed longer if I could!
