Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Edam-Volendam

Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt! Edam ist ein wunderschöner Ort und hat uns sogar besser als amsterdam gefallen! Amsterdam und volendam sind von der Unterkunft einfach mit dem Bus zu erreichen. Mit der EC-karte kann man bequem im Bus bezahlen. Die Unterkunft von Wouter war toll! Alles sehr sauber und ordentlich! Sogar ein Föhn war vorhanden. Wir konnten direkt vor der Haustür parken! Die Unterkunft hat alles was man sich wünscht und ist schön eingerichtet. Es ist eine kleine Terrasse im Hinterhof vorhanden, man kann sich aber auch auf die Bank vor das Haus am Kanal setzen oder auf eine Lounge direkt am Kanal. Von hier kommt man auch über eine Leiter ins Wasser, wenn man dort baden möchte. Wouter war sehr zuvorkommend, schnell erreichbar und hat und nützliche Tipps gegeben. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren zwar nur für ein Wochenende dort aber wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Das Haus ist noch schöner als es auf den Bildern aussieht und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Auch einiges an Gewürzen sowie Koch Utensilien- es wurde einfach an alles gedacht.

This is the cutest cabin to stay in, in Edam! Kristien was an amazing host and gave us a tour of the whole place when we arrived, and she also gave us directions on how to easily get into Amsterdam from Edam. The place is very clean and well set up. The local area is walkable with great restaurants, bakery, and cheese!

We really enjoyed staying at Ebbie's house. It is a well decorated house and the details make you feel really good and at home. The garden was very enjoyable. The house was very clean, which was important to us. We were very comfortable with my 2 years old son, his bed was ready, there were toys that he can play even sleep. :) There was everything we needed in the house, in the kitchen and we enjoyed everything. Ebbie and her husband were very attentive to us from the beginning, we had a problem with the electricity on the last night and they came and looked at it immediately. They could not solve the problem on time but they made up for it later. Apart from that, we love the location of the house, Edam and its surroundings are very enjoyable to explore. We would like to stay in this house when we come to the Netherlands again. Thank you :)

On a passé un super moment dans le logement , le cadre est incroyable on avait l’impression d’être comme à la maison , l’hôte est très sympathique , les lits sont super super confortable et la deco de l’appartement est trop trop bien , et la vue juste wow wow wow wow On y rieviwns bientôt j’espère !

Our 8-day stay in the Holland countryside was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and straightforward—everything was clearly explained and easy to follow. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel completely at home from the start. The house itself was spotless—super clean and fresh, clearly cared for with love. It looked exactly like the photos and matched the description perfectly, which was such a pleasant surprise. We also really appreciated the helpful instructions and thoughtful local recommendations that made exploring the area so much easier and enjoyable. The rural setting was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, yet still very walkable. We spent many mornings simply enjoying the serenity of the countryside. This stay was an absolute gem and a fantastic deal for everything we got. We’re very grateful for the experience. Highly recommended! ☺️❤️

Schöne Unterkunft liegt zentral in Volendam. Mit dem Bus ist Amsterdam in 25 Minuten gut erreichbar. Gastgeber ist super erreichbar und regiert schnell.

YOU GOTTA STAY HERE! Ok, now that I’ve said the most important thing before running out of space, here are some details: Edam is without a doubt the loveliest town we visited in The Netherlands (and we saw A LOT). The hosts were perfect, sent lots of info and tips ahead of time and were at the apartment to let us in when we got there. Clear, easy instructions, beautiful clean apartment, fresh flowers and bulbs, tea, coffee and a few other staples were provided. There’s a balcony AND a backyard and lots of windows with lots of light, incl. the morning sunrise. Very close to a bus stop AND the bus station for more buses. A FAB farmers/cheese market outside the door every Wednesday. SO many shops, grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, basically on the same street. Museums, art, souvenirs, canal and all the history you could hope for. I seriously did not want to leave. It was a great “home base” and easy to get to lots of other historic towns including Amsterdam. It is GREAT, don’t hesitate.

The place was surprisingly amazing, the house was clean and had everything needed for a fine holiday. I highly suggest people to stay there. There are 2 couples bedroom and a huge bedroom with 7-8 beds. A huge dining room, kitchen was nice. A big balcony with sofas and tables. You can have a fine dinner just outside as there are many restaurants. We got 15% discount on one meal which was a great deal. You can find any means of transportation with in 15 minutes walk. All kinds of shops are avaliable in the area. Amsterdam central is not so far away. Everything was good. Highly recommended. 🤩🤩

I can't say enough positive things about our stay at Kevin and Kim's beautiful home. The place was fantastic and exactly as advertised. We felt right at home immediately in their immaculately clean home. It had everything we needed for a quick getaway. It was close to busses, the grocery store and the lovely shops and promenade in Volendam on the water. Amsterdam was only a 20 minute bus ride. Kevin greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Truly a great experience. I would book with Kevin and Kim in a heartbeat again should our travels return to Volendam.

Martien ist ein großartiger, liebenswerter Gastgeber! Wir fühlten uns direkt willkommen, haben viele Tips zu Edam und Amsterdam bekommen. Die Wohnung ist perfekt um nach dem wuseligen Amsterdam wieder zur Ruhe zur kommen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We stayed for 5 days and we enjoyed our visit very much. The location was great and it was very nice to have a parking spot nearby. The apartment was clean and well described. We had a bit of trouble with the front door lock, but Dennis helped us figure that out. Inside it was beautiful and we were very comfortable there. The water for the shower could have been a bit hotter, but that is a minor detail. We were able to sit in the back yard. We loved the area and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quaint village to visit. There were plenty of linens etc and lots of dishware. Dennis left us a nice assortment of drinks so that was a nice touch. He helped us with finding places to go visit in the area and had a great assortment of maps for our use. The area is absolutely beautiful and very old and we visited many small towns and villages nearby. We were easily able to get groceries and other items in Edam, everything was very walkable. Wer eine makellos saubere und moderne Unterkunft erwartet, ist hier definitiv am falschen Platz. Jeder andere wird durch die Magie dieses Ortes mehr als versöhnt. Man hat das Gefühl, die Geschichte des historischen Hauses förmlich zu spüren. Der extrem herzliche Gastgeber und einer der schönsten, naturnahen Gärten den man sich vorstellen kann, runden das Erlebnis ab. Die Lage ist perfekt - Strand, Volendam, Marken, Amsterdam - alles in erreichbarer Nähe ohne Auto. Wir würden jederzeit und gerne wiederkommen.

Wir haben uns bei Sharon und Djurre von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Sie sind besonders freundliche und zugewandte Gastgeber und sind in jeder Hinsicht hilfsbereit und offen für Fragen. Die Wohnung ist komplett ausgestattet und durch eine großzügige Raumgestaltung sehr wohnlich. Jeden Morgen bereitete Sharon ein üppiges und sehr abwechslungreiches Frühstück zu, das wir sehr genossen haben. Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr günstig: Man kann viele interessante Orte und touristische Attraktionen von hier aus leicht und schnell erreichen. Kurzum, wir können die Unterkunft jedem herzlich weiter empfehlen. Christa und Hans

Yafit and Jerry’s apartment was everything we wanted and more! Such a beautiful spot and well equipped. Me and my friend stayed for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed chilling on the outdoor seating area after a long day of sight seeing in Amsterdam. On our first day we explored Zaandam on foot and on the bikes provided at the apartment. We visited nearby Zaanse Schans which was great! The other two days we spent sightseeing in Amsterdam which was easy to reach on the train. We loved our trip and we would happily stay here again!

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist für Naturliebhaber leicht zu erreichen und dennoch nur 25 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum Amsterdams entfernt. Wir vermissten lediglich eine größere Spüle zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirrs. Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr sympathische Erfahrung.

El alojamiento de Nathan fué buenísimo para nuestra primer visita a Amsterdam. Con bus público a la vuelta de la esquina, un lugar super tranquilo pero a una cuadra de restaurantes, cafés y mercados. Una linda movida! El departamento, confortable, cálido, tal cual se muestra en las fotos. Muy recomendable!

This apartment is absolutely amazing! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Monique helped us to feel right at home and she really went above and beyond with the extra details for us. The location is in a chic neighborhood just moments away from the NDSM. Beautiful art and great restaurants in the area. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The place was absolutely cosy, and breathtakingly beautiful. Submerged in the beautiful atmospheric village. We were lost in a reality that felt like a fantasy! The place was cutely cosy, clean and easy to access, the host was generous enough to let us check-in early. We’re definitely coming back next time we’re in the Netherlands.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The apartment was super comfy and had everything I needed — all the essentials and then some. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, with lots of shops around. Public transport is just a 5-minute walk away and gets you to the center of Amsterdam in about 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend!
