This ground floor, one bedroom apartment features a kitchen, separate entrance, and driveway with parking for 1 vehicle. Small two piece bathroom and small shower (similar in size to what you would find in a camping trailer) as well, all within the unit. Couch in living room also pulls out for an extra sleeping space. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks; and compostable toilet. There is no shower and no fridge. A small cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500 ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

Historic and comfy 1870 Chalet at Gerber's

The chalet is located at Gerber's Nursery outside the village of Golden Lake, and provides a cozy get away for a couple, small family or four friends travelling together. One bedroom has a Queen bed and the loft has a double, with a small sofa bed downstairs which sleeps one. We are 30 minutes from Renfrew, Pembroke and Barry's Bay. 1.5 hours west of Ottawa. In the other direction 1.5 hours to Algonquin Park. A great base to explore the Ottawa Valley.

Our guest house is a cozy log cabin with three floors. It is the original homesteader cabin to our property, revived and restored with care. Nestled in the Bonnechere region of Renfrew County, this magical place of solitude offers nature right outside your door. Local paintings by Ottawa Valley landscape artist Angela St. Jean displayed throughout the cabin feature lakes, rivers, and natural places and spaces that surround us.
