Family-friendly holiday rentals in Escondido

This is a great rental for a family. There is plenty of beach equipment as well as equipment for toddlers if needed. Being dog-friendly is a major plus. The house is in a quiet neighborhood which is nice for walking and it is a short drive to restaurants and the beach. We took advantage of the hot tub and the very relaxing back yard.

Don”s cottage was perfect! It had everything we needed and more! Very cozy, we felt right at home. Don was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Our recent stay at Michelle’s Airbnb in Leucadia, California, was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Michelle has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home. The property is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and impeccably maintained, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere that rivaled the coziness of our own home. The kitchen was a standout feature, fully stocked with everything needed to whip up almost any meal. From cookware to an impressive array of spices, we had all the tools to enjoy home-cooked dinners, which made our stay even more special. It’s rare to find such a well-equipped kitchen in a vacation rental! The location is perfect for soaking in the local culture. Right on the beach, we loved taking daily walks to explore the vibrant Leucadia community. The highlight, though, was watching the sunset every evening from the living room or deck—pure magic! This Airbnb was just like we pictured. Host was kind and very responsive by giving clear and easy instructions to access the place. Felt right at home and had no problems whatsoever. Airbnb was nearby many places one would come to San Diego for. Would definitely return in the near future!

Great location and cute neighborhood. Lots of space to spread out in the house for are large party. The Bedrooms were nice and big and the kitchen was stocked very well.

The guest house on Kris’s plot was as advertised and just what we needed for our stay in North County SD. Thanks for the wonderful time! My kids had a particularly good time.

The VIEWS!!! Absolutely breathtaking. We could’ve spent the entire trip just soaking in that ocean view—it was seriously next-level. From sunrise to sunset, it was pure magic. We absolutely loved Kate’s place and Kate herself! She was the best host we’ve ever had. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and had such a fun, quirky charm that made it feel like a hidden gem. The bed was insanely comfortable, the robes were perfectly cozy, and the coffee? Delicious. The art supplies and hot tub facing the ocean were truly to die for—I didn’t even want to leave to explore San Diego because I was so content right there. We slept with the back door open to hear the waves crash all night long and let the ocean breeze in. The neighborhood felt super safe and had such a great vibe. We already know we’ll be back to see Kate every year. No doubt about it.

The accommodation is just like the photos and what is described; quiet, clean, close to all the areas of interest in San Diego. We had a small problem on our first day, but Minh responded and resolved it immediately. He was always attentive to making our stay as pleasant as possible. I would definitely stay at her house again. Thank you for everything, Minh.

Amazing place to stay. Very safe and nice neighborhood to walk around. Perfect for dogs, fully enclosed and safe to leave outside. We could walk to the beach with the dogs from the air bnb. 5-10 min drive from everything in Oceanside. We will definitely return!

The grounds were immaculate. Very roomy guest home. Well stocked with entertainment and kitchen/bath essentials. Would stay again.

Wow, what a perfect haven for our San Diego stay. The space is cozy and beautiful, the pool pristine and the views stunning. The quickest drive into the city, and returning each night feels like a restful retreat. Such responsive and kind hosts, we hope we can come back to this peaceful retreat again soon!

Great place if you are looking for a beach setting. Clean linens and towels, clean room. Kitchen has nice plates, glasses, utensils, etc.

Our stay in San Diego was truly unforgettable, and I owe so much of that to our incredible host. From the start, she was kind and flexible—working with us to adjust our booking after unexpected rain changed our plans. When we finally arrived, she went above and beyond for my daughter’s belated birthday celebration. She surprised us with beautiful decorations and even gave my daughter the sweetest birthday gift. It honestly touched my heart to see how thoughtful she was. The space was cozy, clean, and filled with good energy—perfect for making memories during a weekend that meant so much to us. Great place! Modern simple, deep tub, steam shower, comfy beds and pillows, peaceful environment. Wall-to-wall window doors look out into palm trees, chirping birds, lots of natural light. Note-there’s 2 entrances to underground parking of this. Parking entrance is LEFT side of building down the hill. Great to have dedicated indoor parking! Lovely stay

The apartment is, well appointed, spacious & complete with everything you could want. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with lots of interesting trees and shrubbery and even a walking trail around the whole property. The pool is lovely and child safe. We felt very safe, there was an entry code for the front gate and another for our unit. The whole house is located in a beautiful, upscale area.

Spent the weekend here with my girlfriends for my birthday and we had the best time! The house is soooo homey and had everything we needed. We were welcomed with bagels & snacks and a “happy birthday” sign. Pool and hot tub were great. Perfect relaxing outdoor area. So peaceful. Such a lovely home! Would definitely stay here again.

I loved the location, we could walk to coffee in the morning. A few great food options are close. The kitchen was fully equipped for anyone wanting to cook, we didn't because the food choices were too good in the area.

I had a great time staying at Thelma De La Paz’s place! The space was cozy, very clean, and exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay. Thelma was a wonderful host - polite, welcoming, and super responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!
