Tapada da Raia

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. The rustic-style house features the necessary amenities for an invigorating holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where even time seems to take longer to pass. Hope you like it!

Our apartment is located in Valencia de Alcántara (Cáceres-Extremadura), in the San Pedro de los Majarretes district, 8 km from Portugal. We have an apartment with a living room with a fireplace and a 43" Smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and two bedrooms with a bathroom. Air conditioning in both the living room and bedrooms and free WIFI. Ideal place to visit: Valencia de Alcántara, Tajo International Natural Park, Marvao and Castelo de Vide. Casa dos Galegos combines traditional architecture with a modern layout. It is located in the village of Galegos, right in the heart of the São Mamede Natural Park, in the Alto Alentejo region, just 11 km from the villages of Marvão and Castelo de Vide. It features a wood pellet stove for winter and a private outdoor pool for summer. It is the ideal place to take a break and relax, with the perfect balance of being close to everything yet far enough away at the same time.

Perched on a hill looking out to Spain on a quinta that was once a monastic farm, the cottage is a tranquil base for many delightful day-trip destinations or an experience in itself. Closer to home, relax by the pool, stroll among figs and oranges or in our enchanting organic olive grove, grill on the patio, or explore the nearby World Heritage town of Elvas, home to the world's largest preserved bastion fortifications.

Monte das Cascatas, natural surroundings

Cozy country house, set in a serene and natural Alentejo hill with about 4 hectares. In the heart of the Serra de S. Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as cork oaks, olive trees, oaks or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites you to take refreshing baths through its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused irrigation tanks.

Stone cottage in the Natural Park Serra S. Mamede

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
